Did Garcia say that? I thought he said that he was competeting on Roach's level after having a gym for just five years? Don't remember him saying he'd matched Roach's accomplishments.

I don't feel Robert should get much credit for his brother Mikey's boxing skills. I think that credit should go to their father.

I dunno about that Mikey took up the sport when he was 15, Roberts been retired what, 12 years now? When Mikey was 13..

Whenever I see Eduardo training him all he does is do mitts, most of the main work you see done Roberts been there, so I'd assume Robert has done the donkey work!

Yeah that's what he was saying, some people have ADD or something. Garcia is right, he's had his gym for 5 years and he's competing at Roach's level.

For those talking about roach and MMA, who gives a crap? MMA is ******.

The only guy with a world title who Garcia inherited is Donaire no one else. Mikey, Rios, Luevano, Gradovich were all developed by Garcia in to champions.

The only guys who Roach has truly developed(not just trained for a year before winning a title like Lhan) in to champions in the past 10 years are Chavez and Viloria who actually left Roach and later went with Garcia.

Provodnikov has certainly improved from being at Wild Card. He gave all credit to Freddie after the Alvarado destruction.

                True.

                Maidana lost VS Alexander

Rios VS Abril (sort of) and Alvarado

                Donaire VS Rigo

Robert is good, but IMO his fighters haven't even faced the best yet, and when they step up to top guys, they lose...

I forgot Provod was a champion thats 3 in 10 years. Garcia has 4 and he's only been a full time trainer for 6 or 7 years

Mikey gets a lot of input from his dad...

Gradovich did become a champ under Garcia but was at the gym just over a year. I remember him joining. He learned mos of his skills elsewhere.

The stable Robert Garcia has right now is quite impressive. Evgeny Gradovich (World Champion), Brandon Rios (World Champion), Marcos Maidana (World Champion), Jesus Cuellar (World Champion), Nonito Donaire (2012 Fighter of the year) and Mikey Garcia who is one of the best young fighters in the world today. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will now also be joining Robert Garcia in Oxnard.

Robert Garcia is only 38 years old right now and Freddie Roach is 53 years old.
