Both have been lucky in working with gifted fighters, inheriting world champions. Neither of them are legendary teachers. I think roach has improved fighters to a greater degree than garcia though.

Roach has accomplished more as of right now. The fighters he has worked with and his acheivements speak for themselves. But Garcias resume is impressive considering his age and experience, he has a future pfp (Garcia) and past pfp ( Donaire) and a handful of belt holders.

The thing I like with Garcia is that he took His brother, Rios and Ortiz when they were teenagers and trained them to be all legit boxers that's pretty cool. I know Ortiz left because hes a weak minded primma donna and went with Garcias brother but a large part of his success can be attributed to the work Garcia and his Dad put in.
