Guess you didn't see George's behind the ropes? He was pretty respectful then, said he was a good fighter and a good world champion and he needed to be focussed and believe in himself. The issue Froch has is the way Groves downplays what he's done and is dismissive about what he's accomplished.
He then tries to justify it by saying "All I'm doing is telling the truth".
He's been disrespectful, It's clear as day.
He doesn't have to treat him like royalty but atleast show respect for a guy who's done a lot in recent times and don't dismiss what he's done.
I think its very similar to Carl's attitude towards Calzaghe who achieved more (world champion wise) than Carl (before anyone mentions, yes Froch has a much better resume).
But it's all a ploy by George to make Carl fight angry and try to Bute him... but this time it's not going to be surprised... I expect George to fight a lot like Dirrell tomorrow.Comment

more world title fights but against much worse opposition. froch achieved more in much less time. he didn't waste 10 ten years fighting bums. chris john achieved more than froch too? lol!Guess you didn't see George's behind the ropes? Froch had some kind of issue before that, he's been very hostile to Groves right from the outset.
Froch doesn't appear to like other British fighters success, he sees it as a threat to him. He wanted Haye to retire, he never liked Khan's success, he didn't want Hatton to come back. With the exception of the guys Eddie tells him to root for, it seems he wants to be the only one.
Where did you read that? it wouldn't surprise me to be honest.Last edited by Weebler I; 11-22-2013, 03:52 AM.Comment

How reliable and in the know is this source??
Coz after seeing Groves interview with Kugan Cassius after the presser yday, I'm starting to think Booth will be in the Groves corner. He'll definitely be there with Andy Lee either way...Comment

Yeah I saw it. He wasn't being as dismissive as usual but he was still being disrespectful.Guess you didn't see George's behind the ropes? He was pretty respectful then, said he was a good fighter and a good world champion and he needed to be focussed and believe in himself.

He was saying Jody Morris "he lost to Dirrell, lost to Ward, struggled with Johnson. Oh yeah beat Abraham, lost to Kessler. So not really impressive really"
He even tried to downplay the guys willingness to fight anyone and anywhere by saying "he had no choice"
This was all on Beyond The Ropes which was apparently him being respectful
Carl had reason to be angry because he was mandatory and Calzaghe would barely adkowledge him and wouldn't fight him so of course that's going to annoy him personally.
Froch has given Groves this opportunity, he didn't have to.Comment
