Between taking all the ppv money and paying his opponent 40 million for a fight that will not only break but shatter every ppv event ever..not hard to fathom. The numbers involved have been broken down. In theory both men could be paid $100 million each still and everyone else involved would still make money.

He still earned $35 million for fighting Guerrero..the fight didn't meet the threshold for his ppv cut that fight tho..hence the Canelo fight right after. Floyd has only earned over $40 million twice in his entire career $45 milllion for Cotto and somewhere around $70 million for Canelo. (Not sure if the Mosley fight got him from $38 to $41 million or not...)

Your idol started with the same testing procedure when he fought Mosley, then Ortiz, three blood tests that never went beyond fourteen days. Stop this foolishness. We don't even know if your idol get tested at all in his last two fights.
First off, Hagler's my favourite boxer but I have no idols.

Pacquiao has only paid lip service to more stringent testing until now. Only recently he stated it was "good for boxing". Why has he only just come to this realisation? He might have "agreed" to it, but now he's the one demanding it. If he had that attitude then, we'd have had the fight. Why do you think he made the leap? From talking about it to actually being the one demanding?

          No way.

Not with the promoters and the cable companies taking more than half does Floyd make 100 mill, especially with Manny making a flat fee of 40.

Manny would make 40, Floyd about 70, and the rest goes to the promoters and the cable providers

so is it the testing or the 40m refusal that came after the agreed testing that cancelled the fight? make up your ***ing mind *****s .. pac agreed to testing then fraud came up with a 40m payment plan that didnt include ppv revenue which would have been close to 200m why would manny accept chump change frauds a b1tch his fans know it he threw every excuse he could and even tried to short change manny to insure he didnt have to fight him

                good job dunn!
                hahaha. funny.

Manny is making $18 mil and taking ped testing for the rios fight. with the bulk of the ppv he COULD make $30 mil.

WHy would a man take ped testing for so little when he could've taken it for so much more? Better question-why would a man take the bulk of the ppv to MAYBE make $30 mil rather than $40 mil GUARANTEED, without ppv?

                Never mind, enjoy the mismatch.

                • I had said for years that this fight would get done like lewis-tyson, meaning it would be a legit champ in floyd (lewis) fighting a huge name but a shell of himself manny (tyson)

Too much money to make, plus bob arum knows that manny is on his last leg,, he needs to cash him out while he still can

$40 mil is now chump change-ok. Yet he never made that EVER and is making $10 mil less for the rios fight.

what is that chumpier change? b1tch change? f@g change?

                    your name should be way2dumb.

You do realize every casino on planet earth is going to want this event..you do realize these same casino's pay the likes of Britney Spears and Celine Dion upwards of $40 million a year to sing and dance...yet they don't bring the ballers into town. This is the superbowl of boxing bro..every brand, every location, everyone and their mother with a product/brand is going to want in on this. I'll say the event does $50 million or more in brand sponsorship alone. Not counting the easy $150 to $200 million in global ppv buys and not counting gates and merchandise. Anytime this fight has been broken down numbers wise it's come close to $400 million in total gross for the fight. Not only would this fight set records for private viewership but also in merchandise sales and in media coverage.
