A stadium was never viable. Like Vegas would give the go ahead on a stadium when they make multi millions at the casinos over fight weekend?

      ******ed.

The only opposition to the specially built stadium was from local Las Vegas resident Leonard Ellerbe who complained that he didn't want to take a leak in a port a potty.
You have no idea what you're talking about. You cannot build a structure that can safely suppourt 50k+ people in under a year. At least not in the U.S. Look at a small stadium like the university of Phoenix stadium which is close to 60k seats, took 3 years to build. Arum was full of it back then then as he's still full of it right now.

Also, forget about the temporary field because a structure that big is still very costly and cannot be set in under a year.

Bob the builder always does this before a Pac fight. Let's see how Pac looks against Rios before we talk about him fighting floyd. Pac may have lost some luster but out of everyone 154 and south, he still has the best chance of beating Floyd. I really hope we see the old Manny, before he got religious.

You don't know anything about Las Vegas.

At the time, Floyd vs Pacquiao could easily fill 100,000 seats. And you want to have it in MGM Grand with 16,000 capacity?

Arum tried getting Mayweather vs Pacquiao in Cowbpys stadium. But, xylocaine is illegal in the state of Texas so Mayweaher wanted no part of it.

Like I said, Las Vegas is constantly building attractions. And they can do it quickly if the demand is there.

a 100 000 seat stadium was going to be built in 4 months huh lol

it wouldn't even generate the revenue of an MGM grand because the MGM has a built in casino where all the high rollers will be and all throughout fight week, like they usually are.

                  You clearly don't understand economics.
MGM grand may not fit 100,000 people, but it doesn't have to. They can charge top dollar i.e. $500 cheapest seats , for a fight like that.
In a larger arena you have to sell tickets on the cheap. $50, $30. etc.

This is why the MGM grand yields record breaking money gates, while when Pac fought in Texas in front of 50K it generated only about 10 million.

In the end they don't want 100,000 fans packing a stadium they want only about 20K and the rest of the 80K to pay for it on PPV.

Exactly right. Pac/Margarito doing 50 000 seats only made a live gate of 5 mill compared to Mayweather/Delahoya that did 19 million at the entry

Yeah arum and the cow jumped over the moon. How convient that he throws this out two days before the fight. Nobody is buying the fight. Promotion sucks for this fight. U havent even seen any commercials. Floyd-Canelos promotion was way better. Besides Arum stadium isnt built yet and pacs next fight is already picked out. Its alvarado if pac wins because alvarado lost his last bout. Or a marquez fight because he lost too. But make no mistake his next fight will be in house.
