I think this fight would be a blood bath. Gatti will try to box but it wont work because he isnt great at it and Margarito will put alot of pressure on him so he will have to fight and I would pay to see that

i dont think gatti hits harder then cintron

Gatti was a pretty big puncher, but I'm not sure how well that translates to welter yet. It looked like he was landing some really hard shots on Damgaard, but he took quite a few of them all the way up until the 11th. So, I'm not sure if that's a really good chin he's got, or if Gatti has lost some power up at his new weight. He's now the smaller man. I agree with the poster who said Gatti will have trouble because of Margarito's reach.

I love Arturo and his whole rugged style, but I think with all he's been through, Margarito would pick him apart and most likely win by UD

They are on 2 completely different levels...apparently you still have not figured this out.

Gatti has not beaten an oppnent of Margarito's quality his enitre career, sure Gatti would land a few punches and if you call that competitive then great-this fight like (ZOO vs. Chavez) should never even be considered.

Arturo Gatti IS NOT a World Class fighter, when will people understand this?

This would be a brutal brutal ass whooping.

A savage beating would be laid on Gatti.

              1. Margarito could be easily fighting at 154, while kicking ass there.

              2. Gatti is NOT a world class fighter...and his punch may look good against second rate guys like Damgaard, but Tony is on another level.

              3. Margarito is a far bigger man, and is a far bigger puncher at 147 than is Gatti. Arturo started his career at 130...c'mon people.

              4. Margarito's reach and constant punching would often keep him out of range of Arturo's bigger shots

              5. Margarito only picks up steam in the later rounds of the fight...Gatti wouldn't stand a chance if he didn't (somehow) starch Margarito early.

I'm not that big of a fan of Margarito, but he would put Gatti through a blender.

Some of Damgaard punches seem to get Gatti's attention and if Damgaard can do that than Margarito will hurt him. Gatti's chin is overrated in my opinion. He's always hurt by punches but it's his will and his heart that keeps him standing. Both of these guys have no defense and are there to be hit but I see Margarito outlasting and stopping Gatti in a competitive war. I think it will be alot more competitive than alot of matchups you could put Gatti in because Margarito doesn't have defense.

Well hears the million dollar question? Who would Gatti rather fight if he beats baldomir and becomes the welterweight champion of the world?

Margarito or Judah? Because he eventually is goin to have to fight one of them. And he will Gatti has too much to vacate the title and retire.

I see it playing out 2 ways though, Gatti beating baldy and making title defense against lesser opponet then going for Margaito or Judah, then win or lose take 1 more fight then its off to puffin a stogie w/ Buddy McGirt and ridin off into the sunset on the way to Canastota

**Lets also remember Hatton will be moving up to welterweight soon looking for the big $ and it dont get any bigger than Gatti, so Gatti could be fighting him instead of Margorito or Judah, which i think Gatti has the best chance at Hatton
