Comments Thread For: Vitali Klitschko's Wife Would Like To See Him Retire

The wife of heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has urged her husband to hang up his gloves and retire.

"He must make that decision alone, but Vitali has achieved everything in his career, right at the top, so I'd find it nice if he stopped," Natalia Klitschko told the Hamburg Morgenpost newspaper.

The 42-year-old Vitali Klitschko holds the WBC heavyweight belt, while younger brother Wladimir is the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion and between them the Ukrainian brothers hold all the major titles.

Considering how Ukrainian politics (Vitali's next carrer) often seems to resemble a more violent, less cuddly version of Al Capone's Mob-era Chicago perhaps Vitali is safer in the ring?

Slapping some small, fat dude around for 12 rounds is better than some of the stuff the Ukrainians have done to their leaders; they put their first female leader in jail forever (and not a nice one) and the KGB is believed to have posioned another leader. Good luck Vitali, you'll need it son!

he's achieved everything in his career? he's achieved losing to the 2 best fighters he fought, quitting, never beating the best fighter in his division, and beating up bums. i guess that's everything cept being the best but who cares about that. lots of title defenses!
