On the doctor's orders, a badly damaged Vitali was told to quit but he refused to leave the ring. Both Byrd and Vitali's teams swarmed the ring but failed to subdue him. They were thrown like ragdolls, crushed underfoot. Seven men died that night. Finally they brought him down with tranquilizer darts and Byrd was awarded the WBO Heavyweight Title."
come on man. vitali was far from an atg but you and that daggum dude make it out like hes a total bum. that's every bit as ridiculous as the idiots saying he has an atg resume. his resume was admittedly weak to be considered great or a legend but he was a damn good fighter and at least a handful for most heavyweights. anyway,,,,he does need to retire and give the younger guys there chance. not cool sitting on the throne making these other guys wait. he needs to either fight or call it a career asap. hopefully he will choose to call it quits
