The funny thing is that Ward got floored (by Boone) with a short right uppercut... But Ward evolved -- he learned that the best chin in the sport is the chin that doesn't get hit. My opinion is that, right now, Ward has developed the necessary skills to annihilate whatever great KO artist (southpaw or orthodox). Ward has speed, great feet and body movement, he switches from outside to inside with ease, he uses a lot of dirty tricks (headbutts, elbows, holding, clinches -- he's even out-wrestling opponents as we just saw)...

how do you know that if he's never faced someone with a great straight left? yes we know he can hold and cheat against slow orthodox fighters but there are other styles out there in boxing. can he hold and cheat against them all? lets find out!

          ... I don't know, of course...
... I would like to watch Stevenson fighting Ward, of course... (Not Bute, because he doesn't have any "inside boxing" skills... Please note: Bute's my compatriot.)

(Ward would stay glued onto Stevenson chest all night long...)

you can say that about any ward fight which is why no one wants to watch him fight. even if he wins it's only through trickery and incompetent reffing. if you get the berto-collazo ref who started taking points away in like the 2nd round stevenson ices ward without a doubt. even with a patsy ref stevenson has a good chance of icing ward when ward jumps forward with his patented shoulder football jump. stevenson also has a great left uppercut that he can throw on the inside. it's no sure thing and that's why the fight will never happen. ah well ward-baldomir coming in 2014

I don't see Ward accepting "local refs", in case he fights in Canada or UK... And, anyway, Ward would not fight outside U.S. unless he gets a payday of $5-7 million and a ref from the U.S.

I don't think GGG is ready for Ward yet.

At 168 if Stevenson can't land the KO blow, he'd go down heavily on points.

Being on the inside probably favours Stevenson in that fight because Ward is a level above on the outside.

I can't see chavez's people putting him in with either ward or golovkin right now. Either would kill him. Both ward and golovkin would also rather fight chavez than each other. It is an easier fight and would bring in more money. The fact is that it makes little sense for these two to fight now. Not enough money involved. Golovkin would rather lure martinez into a fight and ward either bernard or chavez. Ward won't go after adonis--no money in it yet.
