I'm usually not one for the whole "let the fight marinate" logic: case in point the Gamboa vs. Juanma debate was getting bigger and Arum didn't match them up right away and then Juanma gets knocked out by Salido and superfight never happens, and Gamboa falls into obscurity...
but I don't see that happening here. There really is NOBODY out there now who can pose Ward any sort of problem, and I say that with more certainty than I would with Mayweather—maybe because Mayweather's division is more talented— but whatever the case maybe I don't see anyone upsetting the apple card here, and if Golovkin logs a few more devastating performances at MW, the time will be right. But now it seems a little premature, there's not even certainty that Golovkin is the best 160 pounder yet, let alone ready to take on the best fighter on the planet not named Floyd Mayweather Jr.

first of all hopkins said he would never fight ward...secondly the fight cant happen because of the network beefs and 3rd it would b the worst fight in the history of boxing...honestly i think the good boy makes ward nervous...every time they mention his name ward gets agitated...ward can beat a froch or a rodriguez with one hand but it aint happening against ggg

Silly Ward has only fought Kessler, Abraham, Green, Abraham, Bika, Froch, Rodriguez, and Dawson. Not to mention he's 2 years younger than GGG.
Ward fears no man. People were saying the exact same thing with Bute, but Ward wasn't buying all the hype. Instead he told him to beat an elite fighter, Bute got smacked and that was the end of that.
