An ugly, non KO win against a guy that calls you out makes HBO's "most avoided" push look questionable and undermines if not totally refutes the "GGG top 5 p4p" crap. HBO could potentially lose fans at a time when his base is growing. This fight likely wouldn't fit into HBO's "action" and "excitement" overall marketing/promotional theme.

SMart business move, no question. But instead, let him fight Mora in an ugly mess and then if Sergio still doesn't want it-go for froch and then ward. Then we'll see if he is "top 5 p4p".

Is that why they never stuck Martinez in with Mora? And why Floyd and Canelo were protected from him by Showtime? He'd make them all look like **** and lower their standing?

Ward is a pathetic coward. He is using the ducking technique Floyd used with Pac, keep postponing the fight hoping he suffers a loss in the meantime and then use that as an excuse to somehow prove he is not on your level lol. No respect for Son Of Hugging, the biggest fraud in the P4P list. (And I dont like Floyd but you won't see me complaining about his P4P status despite of how I think he ducked Pac)

He's not lying. GGG and Ward are not nearly near the top of their PPV making power. This isn't Pac vs Floyd. This would be like putting the Pac that fought fought Barrera vs. pre-de la hoya floyd.

The fight isn't even PPV worthy for casuals yet (it might be for hard core fans like us; but trust me, most casuals don't know either of these guys). It's not time yet.

As I said in the other thread. Ward/Chavez @ 168 with STevnson/Kovalev @ 175 on ppv. GGG and Froch @ 168 on WCB. Assuming GGG wins, the next fight should be ward and GGG on PPV.

No reason Nov 2014 this fight can't happen.
