No one will buy this garbage mismatch. Sorry ward you're not PPV you don't have enough fans to fill an arena in your own back yard.

It's funny though how ward makes every effort to say how Chavez can fight but wt every turn likes to downplay the achievements of triple g.

I've got ward in both fights if they happen though.

I know he's trying to build a potential fight.... but Chavez Jr. and tremendous talent in the same sentence without the word not in there?

Ward is being real and being honest. In reality because boxing is a business as well the only 2ppvs (the names) he could fight are b hop and Chavez jr

I guess Martinez doesn't count because he's not going to fight until the summer at the earliest.

I also would imagine Kovalov and Stevenson don't count because they will likely fight each other in the spring.

GGG might not be a big enough name right now to justify a PPV vs Ward, but I wouldn't be surprised if they could sell PPVs of that fight as early as spring.

But I do think Froch-Ward could be a PPV too. Froch has the UK fan base, Ward has the US fan base, Froch is the consensus #2 at 168 as well. Not that I'm super excited as a fan for that (compared to the names I mention above vs Ward), but it's still a very good fight that I'd enjoy seeing.

Hopkins isn't possible, he's with Goldenboy.

So my realistic PPV list for Ward would be:

-Chavez Jr.
-GGG
-Froch

With Martinez and the winner of Kovalov-Stevenson as possibilities for the summer or fall 2014.

Its so ironic that Chavez jr. should get the bigger purse in this fight because really all the draw would be because of his name.

But of course he would get outclassed and embarassed by SOG he is so superior its just ridiculous.

I hope it gets made, i am mexican but you know what i enjoy watching superior boxers beat up what are supposed to be "main****** good fighters" because most of the public its that way... if most ppl knew about andre ward they wouldnt buy this mismatch.

It's very unfortunate that Andre Ward being a great fighter has to even think about fighting Julio Cesar Chavez Jr solely for the name popularity. In a boxing universe where the phrase "skills pay the bills" is true the name Julio Cesar Chavez Jr isn't even worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence with Andre Ward.

I would like to see Ward get that PPV money it's just not going to happen against Chavez. I would pay to see GGG vs Ward though with a stacked undercard.

I dont like Chavez with a passion. Vera caught the biggest robbery of the year. Ward is getting desparately sad. You can tell he wants it so bad now before Chavez gets exposed for the third time in a row.

If its true a poster said Ward got 2 milly on saturday thats even too much and a solid payday for Ward. I dont mind watching Ward but nobodys going to pay for your ***** until you actually start taking risks to enhance your legacy.

Hopkins is the only PPV worthly fight if theirs a GOOD undercard but unless Ward fights GGG, Hopkins, Kovalev, Froch or Stevenson in hos next fight nobodys going to give a damn at all. Ward couldnr get a PPV to do over 200, 000 even with chump Chavez Jr. Who continues to embarass his fathers name.

Definitely not now, Chavez needs to rebuild the trust of people who would theoretically buy this PPV. At LEAST 2 wins, probably 3, all fights on the up-and-up with weight and no scoring or ref shenanigans. Right now, the fight would bring Ward down to carnival levels
