Chavez couldn't win ****. Beaten handily by Martinez and shut out by Vera who ws 20 pounds lighter. Why do people cling to the myth of one of the most average, cheating, lazy fighters in recent history. A disgrace. GGG would take him out. Ward would shut him out.

This is clearly a money fight for Ward, and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that. These fighters work hard and sacrifice a lot, and I don't blame them for jumping on a chance to get a big payday.

He got his payday. Ward made 2 mil last night an taking his drawing and viewership power into consideration I would say that's more than fair. HBO might have even overcompensated Ward last night. A PPV between Chavez-Ward wouldn't even do 700,000 maybe not even 600,000....especially since Bradley-Mareuz didn't do so well that could be used as the measuring stick right there and it was a disaster......

This is a fight I would be confident that Chavez Jr can win. He needs to pressure Ward though (not do that crap boxing he tried to pull of against Vera) and eventually he'll break him down. Chavez is a fighter I am confident that can beat Ward. And when Ward hugs like a sissy, Jr can fight on the inside too which will be interesting.

Chavez is too slow to even make it a competitive fight. The fight would look exactly like Ward vs Rodriguez, Ward would easily control him on the inside and outside. It'd be on the same competitive level as Mayweather/Guerrero and Pacquiao/Rios.
