You might THINK he won all the rounds - I might even agree - but the official verdict is he DIDN'T. By saying he did, you're being an NSB fanboy riding roughshod over people paid to score the fight, and basically saying their official opinion doesn't count for shit.

So in other words, forget what we see as fans and how we score a fight. I mean why do fans even cry about robberies? It's obvious the judges had it right.

Picture a jury trial where a defendant gets off when everyone knew he was guilty. On here, as fans on a messageboard, we can say "hell yeah he was guilty"... but if you were the guy interviewing him as a PROFESSIONAL JOURNALIST outside the courthouse, you wouldn't say "you were found guilty and sentenced to jail", would you?

Max isn't a poster here. He's a professional broadcaster making a personal subjective view and stating it as if it's an objective fact. It's unprofessional... do you COMPREHEND? Max's job isn't to give his view IN THAT CAPACITY... it's to state whatever will appear afterwards on Boxrec.

it was a one sided fight, mac. anybody who says otherwise is wrong. repeating bad scorecards has no value.

I said I gave him 3 rounds. I like to think I'm pretty objective... besides which, I'm from America, I fight in the States.

But the point is... that's not my point.

Imagine if the Ward-Froch fight had been a draw, which, had Froch done a little bit more in just ONE of the close rounds, it could have been.

We've have all sat at home going "WTF???" - I was saying that when he won five rounds on a majority of scorecards. And that's well within our rights to do so.

But if Max had gone up to Andre on a draw and went "ANDRE, you just WON this FIGHT on the CARDS"... he'd have been a ****. Because his job is to speak about the fight based on what happened... officially.

If he said last night (or in my hypothetical example) "In MY opinion, and it's ALL about ME, I THOUGHT you WON the ROUNDS", then fair enough. But the **** says it as if it's true.

Honestly, I don't have an iota of respect for most "official" judges.. they nearly always get it wrong, and they give pity rounds as well as out and out robberies. If Max thinks ward shut Rodriguez out, then thats what Max thinks. He's a commentator. They are not exactly famed for their neutrality. They always have bias one way or another. There have been many times the announcers have staunchly disagreed with the official scoring, and I have agreed on some occasions, disagreed some others. Its all opinion anyway, I can give a **** ass about what some myopic half the time paid off judges have to say if I disagree.
