Even funnier is that he apparently thinks Carl Froch won 5 rounds against Ward.

But that example still stands as the fight stood. You gave Froch 2 rounds, I say he sc****d 3. The official verdict (on two cards) was that he won five. If Max had said:

"ANDRE, you just WON at least NINE ROUNDS of this FIGHT, is it TIME for me to BLOW your juicy COCK?" it would have been wrong of him to do so... in his capacity as an objective sports broadcaster.

Unless, of course, he'd have rephrased it, "ANDRE, you just WON a CLOSE fight on the judges CARDS, but it LOOKED - at least to ME - because god KNOWS the fight is ALWAYS about ME - that you won MOST of THEM..." then it would have been different.

The above is really a textbook example of what I've been trying to say all thread. Greeted by fuck trumpets going "yo, what round's did roddrigezzz win?"... NOT. THE. POINT.

I've seen him suck up, but this was worse: he was stating an opinion as if it was a fact.

I don't care if it was only one round, and that one round was arguably a gift from the judges anyway, it's not for him to do that.

Imagine you'd just tuned in, and heard him telling the winner in the interview "you just WON every SINGLE round ANDRE"... without any reference to that being just his take on the fight.


That people are going on about having bias against Andre/for Rodriguez, etc., etc., etc. is to spectacularly miss the point.

Promoters and sanctioning bodies are biased. Also you can pick and choose statistics. A judge said he won all 12, max has judging to back him up too...it's not science.

i gave edwin the 1st round, i thought he did a smart thing by swarming ward early and trying to make it an ugly fight,, he landed some good body shots in the clinches,,

round 2 ward started timing him and slowly breaking him down

by round 3 it was all ward

I'm not, to make it clear, talking about Max's commentary during the fight. I'm talking about the express comment he made to Andre before the interview, stating as fact that Andre had won every round.

Do you **** hawks comprehend? It doesn't matter if "oh, Andre won every round anyways, the judges were kind to Rodriguez" - that's IRRELEVANT.

The FACT is, that, OFFICIALLY, Andre DIDN'T win every round. For Max to state otherwise AS A FACT is incorrect and unprofessional.
