Are some of you on crack? Man I have never in my life seen someone so overestimated as Pac. A prime Meldrick would school Manny's ass. Taylor beat the living **** brakes off of the legend JCC for what, 9 out of 12 rounds? And Pac no way could have beaten JCC in or near his prime. I see even after that cold ****ed KO you guys are still smoking that funny Manny grass. Someone please tell me one prime/elite boxer Manny clearly beat? An already past prime Morales beat Manny once. JMM in reality beat Manny 3 out of 4 times and fought him perfectly even in the 1st match. Bradley won a BS decision but Pac still looked mediocre at best. Can't anyone see the only people Manny looks so "devastating" against are come forward fighters like Hatton, Marg, Diaz? Why do you think they picked Rios lol. Any elite boxers with good speed are Manny's kryptonite period.

      Meldrick via UD over Pac.

your an idiot,,, meldrick is pretty much a come forward fighter,, he would never get on his bike and box,,,, I watched meldricks whole career, and he was a great fighter to watch, but manny would ice him just like terry norris did,,,,,

meldrick doesnt have the ring generalship or defense to keep pac off him,,, meldrick had fast hands but he didnt possess one punch power, he had to overwhelm someone with his speed,,,
Manny would land all night on meldrick and he would get iced,,,

I honestly cant believe how anyone would pick meldrick over manny,,, unless they are black fighter nuthuggers,,,,,

any fan with common sense knows that meldrick would get ko'd in about 4 or 5 rounds by manny,,,,

manny has much better power and footwork, and he wouldnt be able to miss meldrick,,,

honestly,, if manny is able to land at will, he is stopping you, just like he did MAB, morales, hatton, cotto, oscar, etc,,,

you have to be a complete douche bag to think otherwise,,,

never thought about this fight, it would be great
these guys would go to war until somebody fell
gotta go with Pac, Taylor going after him would get him hurt
he's actually got the faster hands here, but Pac's got more power
see this tit for tat until the last 4 rds, Pac would get him then
Taylor was best as a mobile boxer but liked to fight
giving up his tactical edge gets him taken out late

Would be an extremely fun fight to watch considering the hand speed of both fighters. I have to agree with the majority of the posters on here and say that Pac would most likely knock him out sometime during the late rounds. Taylor had more balls for his own good and would go to war with Manny. That would lead to his downfall. I can hear the HBO announcers going crazy calling this one.

I dont try and bring race into any thread, but i guarantee your black and that you really DKSAB
You mean you're not black Sugar Adam Ali?

I didn't think you needed to go the race route to make your point. It's just a simple debate man. People chose different sides in a debate. I'm sure if OP expected everyone to pick Pacquiao he wouldn't have started the thread.

I guess if you happen to pick the black boxer you certainly have to be black and DKSAB.

I think the admins should put a category in each profile for race and make sure everyone check their race so Sugar Adam Ali doesn't have to guess who each nuthugger is...

@ 140, which was mel's best weight, i think mel would be too much of a blur for pacquaio, real talk...mel had that philly mentality, didn't mind taking a punch, but also mel too many weapons at that weight, manny only had a straight left when he was fighting barrera, morales, and the early marquez fights...@ 140 mel didn't fold as fast against anyone that i can remember...i mean, dude did beat brazier, who was no pushover, and buddy mcghirt for a title...you see chavez needed 12 rounds of bodyshots and a little help from richard steele to deny mel on his finest night of boxing...real talk...

it was only when he moved up...couldn't carry his weight up against the bigger guys too good...so throw out what norris and espana was able to do to him @ 147 in that case...

now @ 147, different story...manny added on movement, a little versatility, and developed his right hand...plus he carried the speed and power up...mel wouldn't be able to deal with pacquaio then...

good to see people even bring up and mention meldrick taylor, that was definitely my dude years ago...

                      Nope.

                      "mel had that philly mentality"

That Philly mentality is why he would get KO'ed. No doubt in my mind. I loved Taylor but he wasn't smart enough to beat Manny. Furthermore, he got hit too much and would get crushed. Manny by KO.
