Prime Meldrick Taylor vs. Prime Manny Pacquiao: who wins,...and How??

This would be the Meldrick Taylor that showed up to fight Chavez in 1990 vs. The Manny Pacquiao that showed up to fight Ricky Hatton.

I actually think Taylor was just a bit quicker handspeed wise. Not by too much though.

This would be the fistic equivelant of a fireworks display.

This would be one of the most entertaining matchups I can imagine.

I think it would be very competitive and back and forth for about 6-7 rounds,..but Taylor would begin to lump up and swell up like he did with Chavez. Pacquiao has the power to do this. He would bring this to an end a little quicker than Chavez did..Because he would keep up with Taylor and punctuate exchanges with his superior power.

So I have Pacquiao TKO in rds 8-10.

as gifted as Meldrick was, he would abandon his advantages and want to slug it out...it's hard to go against PAC vs someone who wants to slug it out...i have PAC by KO

Meldrick had some of the fastest hands in boxing, but it was more flashy speed, whereas Pac's speed has substance to it.

Pac would've caught Taylor in between punches, and it would've went all down hill from there.

Meldrick was one of the guys that I grew up loving to watch as a kid, from the 84 Olympics onwards.

I agree with the above statements. Taylor had some of the fastest hands I have ever seen period, and I think Pac would stop him in the championship rounds.

meldrick was a helluva fighter,,,

but manny would match his speed, and manny would ice him in the middle rounds,,,

taylor lacked ring generalship,, that is why he never reached a floyd, hopkins, SRL, hearns type level

I will pick Pacquiao against almost anyone he can draw into a firefight in his weight range, and Taylor would definitely end up in a firefight with Pac.
