This is boxing bro, its the hurt business! Fighters know what the risk is and the CHOOSE to do it. They are already encouraged by their team, fans and promoters to fight. Same with reward thats why tjey get paid for it. The only thing wrong with the KO bonus is that it is like the UFC like the other poster said. But your attributing injuries to the KO bonus and nobody has even gotten hurt on those cards......

If people were getting hurt on these cards or guys were getting caught cheating then you might have a point. Right now I just don't see it being a problem...

I think it's a good incentive for the guys fighting on the undercards to produce a big ko. Most of the time these guys aren't even making 6 digits so 100k for looking to ko your opponent is a good idea IMO. Last time they did that all fights ended in ko except for that war between Figueroa and the Japanese fighter and both of those guys took more punishment than the guys getting ko'd

Last time Keith Thurman get the bonus over Soto Karass' KO over Berto witch was better and more dramatic.

Yeah, I hear ya, bro. But, I think KO bonus is geared more toward the televised card, anyway. So, they seem to only award to guys who are already making the big bucks.

Thurman executed a good body shot ko while Karass' was a kd but the ref stopped the fight. Yeah it was dramatic because he was on his way to getting robbed but Thurman's was a better ko. But that's what they did when Canelo got the tko victory over Josesito they gave him the bonus instead of De Leon or Maidana.

Is Golden Boy KO bonus too much. There have been some cards where Golden Boy pays a bonus amount for the KO of the night. Does that encourage fighters to fight a more violent style? Is that sending the right message to boxing fans? Personally, I think it's wrong to encourage that kind of style or behavior, given the injuries and deaths associated with the sport. Now, I understand boxing is a dangerous sport, but to encourage and reward a KO is inhumane. What are your thoughts on this? It's sad to see fighters get seriously hurt in this sport.
