Okay, right. Go tell that to the dude in the coma, or the Mexican kid who just died. Go tell that to their families and loved ones. Tell them, to their face,"I want to see blood and guts warriors fighting." Fighters are human beings, not animals.

Have a little more decency, for crying out loud. These fighters have families and people who care about them, they are human beings. Boxing is a violent sport, but lets not promote it and reward it with KO bonus. Come on, now. Think before you speak. People like you want to be entertained at the expense of a fighter's health. Have some respect for these fighters and what they go through in the ring.
When did I say or claim any of this? If you have a point, its best not to put words in other people's mouths to make it.

KOs are part of the sport. Boxing is what it is because KOs happen. Either you accept everything about the sport or you don't.

I wasn't really aware of it but it sounds a bit UFC'ish to me. Gimmicky.

You keep refering to the guy that died and the other one in a coma. Was there a KO bonus for those cards? If not this whole thread is plain dumb. Your trying to trace these tragedies back to the KO bonus cmon man. kick rocks!

Of course KOs are part of the sport. If the KO happens, then it happens. Boxers willingly put their lives on the line when they get in the ring. However, it is irresponsible behavior by the promoter to say, "hurt him, kill him, and you will get an extra $100,000." Think about that.

The ko bonus is wrong and not right for the fighters. That's the first time I've ever heard that theory.........and hopefully the last. I appreciate rigondeux, floyd and ward but thank god not every one fights like them

It's part of combat sports man. If you are that sensitive and sentimental, stop watching combat sports and focus on passive activities. I tell that to Golovkin, Bam Bam, Margarito, Cotto, Thurman, Duran, Hagler... and many more and they would all smile and sign an autograph for me.

Ugh, I ****ing hate soft people man. No offense. This sport is not for you.
