And I doubt Pacquaio does that with Guererro let alone 1 million.
It's good unless the break even point is 1.1-1.2m as rumored with Floyd's unusual contract. In that case it's an absolute catastrophy, a 14m+ loss for a network whose annual budget is twice that.

"Mayweather's lopsided decision victory against Shane Mosley (46-6, 39 KOs) on May 1 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas generated 1.4 million domestic pay-per-view buys and $78.3 million in television revenue. HBO announced on Tuesday. That makes the fight the second-biggest non-heavyweight pay-per-view bout in history." - Dan Rafael per HBO.

It was about what I expected but Mayweather's people had been going on and on about how it was going to do 4 million. "Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions is predicting 4 million PPV buys" FightOpinion

Still 1.4 million is pretty good.

It was just as good as Pac vs JMM III, which "generated 1.3 million PPV buys" forbes while "the fourth fight generated about 1.15 million buys on HBO PPV, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told ESPN.com" ESPN

"We still don't have complete numbers, but we've seen the dish numbers and some of the cable numbers to be comfortable saying we will definitely exceed 1 million buys," Espinoza said Friday. "We can't tell how much it will exceed 1 million, though." Dan Rafael - ESPN

Nah screw that man. When Pacquiao and Arum did the same thing y'all didn't wanna hear it. And they still haven't released the numbers. Numerous people were saying 800kish. It is what it is.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter cause nobody is else is doing the same numbers as these two. Some numbers are good and some flop.

They were called liars for saying it did 1 million so everybody wants go to with lowest numbers they heard.

That's future tense there, WILL exceed. They said they'd have the full numbers by Friday. What gives? Where's the past tense statement?
