I thought Golovkin put Ouma into permanent retirement?

And the way others were acting maybe even permanent life support

I was there live. Ouma gave him hell! And I am a big GGG fan but, for example, the other day I told a friend who was with me at the arena the day of that fight (and that is the only GGG fight he has seen) to come over to watch the GGG-Stevens fight and he replied "ain't that the bum who struggled with that black dude the day we went to the arena?". I think that should tell you how disputed that fight was.

You were in Panama? Dude that fight wasn't disputed at all, it should have been stopped much earlier, Ouma ended up in the hospital. Check his recap from Graham Houston:

Ouma was very game and very tough, and for five rounds he boxed and fought as well as he has ever done. Then Golovkin remorselessly came on, battering Ouma to the body, bringing the left hooks and right hands up and over, jolting back Ouma’s head with right uppercuts, going southpaw to drive thumping left hands into his opponent’s no doubt aching body.

By the eighth round, honestly I had seen enough. Ouma was swollen and damaged under both eyes and there was blood inside his mouth. The ringside doctor checked on Ouma at the end of the eighth. Ouma is so brave that he will never surrender, but the ninth and 10th rounds were brutal to watch. Referee Guillermo Perez Pineda finally, belatedly, waved the finish as a tired and dazed Ouma sagged against the ropes with 63 seconds remaining in the 10th round.

It was worrying to watch Ouma take the punishment that he did. Laurence Cole was criticised for letting a beaten-up Antonio Margarito complete the course against Manny Pacquiao when the fight could have been stopped after the 10th round, but good-hearted Manny eased off towards the end and although he was popping quick punches into Margarito’s swollen countenance in the 11th and 12th rounds he wasn’t really blasting him with hard shots. In the Golovkin-Ouma fight, though, the former world amateur champion from Kazakhstan was hitting Ouma with wrecking-ball blows. It was a relief when the fight was stopped — I would have felt a sense of relief if Ouma had been pulled out of the fight in the ninth round; Ouma didn’t need an extra round of getting pounded and it was not a surprise to read the next day that he had been detained in hospital overnight for observation.

this Murray is afraid of GGG stuff in nonsense. it's just hype created by GGG's people.

if Murray is so afraid why is he fighting on the undercard of GGG's Monte Carlo fight?

"Just to let people know that I'm not fighting Golovkin on Feb 1st but we're fighting on the same bill. Looking forward to it when it happens"

          http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/256269.html

GGG and Murray both will fight nobodies and build up a fight between themselves. then the winner of that will probably get a shot at Martinez by the end of next year.

as for Ouma he does nothing for GGG. he's a junior middleweight. if GGG beats him so what and if he doesn't look totally spectacular he'll lose a bit more hype.

Murray has had multiple options to fight GGG, some even deliberately created to ensure he would have no visa issues. He was also offered the highest payday of his career, more than he made vs Sergio, and he still declined... for what reason exactly? The world title is apparently his dream, like most of the British middleweights, yet only Macklin had the balls to actually step up. Murray also is GGG's mandatory and was only allowed to keep his interim belt on the condition he face Golovkin in his next fight, he refused. There is no build up required between them, Murray isn't going to gain anymore fans and this fight has been talked about for too long.

Macklin said the truth when he stated GGG would KO Murray, Lee and Barker if they fought, they all pretty much couldn't even respond because it's pretty much spot on.

On the topic of Ouma, it's not even worth the discussion, the kid doesn't want another beating or next time he might not leave the hospital.

Get knocked out quicker this time. You had your moments in the first fight, it's done. Don't give GGG any ideas on fighting more bums.

Sergio Mora called him out left and right....a much better fighter than Stevens

Golovkin fans always get so defensive when Ouma is brought up.

Personally i think that the GGG fans are tired of trying to have a civil debate with people who just don't want to face the fact that Golovkin is the beast he is portrayed to be and not the hype that they like to say that he is. To add irony many of these so called boxing aficionados and GGG haters disappeared into the abyss after Stevens got his clock cleaned. Just saying.
