I cant see anyway Sillakh can win this. He has neither the chin, skill or engine to pull this off unless Kovalev has the mother of off nights.

Son of a ***** O'Connor lost me a lot of money on the 3rd round KO bet wager I placed!

Should be a good fight while it lasts.

Kovalev is on a mission. Can't see him losing this fight. Sillakh is def talented, but he's in with a monster.

sillakh has indeed been very underrated ever since that loss to grachev. he has good hand and foot speed, is good fundamentally, has one of the best offensive arsenals in all of boxing with real one punch kayo power in both hands.

kovalevs chin is still a bit questionable, not saying its shown any signs of being bad but it hasnt been proven beyond doubt that it isnt ether. we know kovalev can take sillakh out with one punch but sillakh could very well be able to do the same. kovalev hasnt really fought any puncher other than boone who hurt him really bad.

i mentioned sillakhs technical skills too, he has a height and reach advantage over kovalev and was a far more decorated amateur. kovalevs amateur pedigree is very good, sillakhs is tremendous. sillakh is faster than kovalev with both his hands and feet too, so i think he is the better boxer of the two.

that said it might sound like im picking sillakh, im not. sillakh might have the power to stop kovalev but kovalev has the power to stop sillakh for sure. sillakh is vulnerable to right hands which is kovalevs best punch and has a hard time dealing with combination punching which imo is kovalevs best attribute even more so than his power. i think outboxing him for 12 rounds without getting caught will be difficult.

the main reason im picking kovalev is the fact that sillakh hasnt fought anyone of note since losing to grachev. i get the feeling this is a fight they took because it presented itself and the opportunity was too good to turn down, not because they felt ready to make this move at this time. its just bad timing, kovalev has all the momentum in the world and sillakh is still in the very early stages of rebuilding his career.

but the idea that the result is set in stone is just sheer ignorance. sillakh is a live dog against any light heavuweight with the attributes he brings to the table. kovalev might steamroll him, in fat if kovalev wins it will most likely be by early stoppage. but there are many ways this could unravel for him as well. especially if that early kayo doesnt materialize.

I can't say Kovalev has a granite chin, but I don't think his chin is questionable.... it's decent, at the very least. Thats the same punch that KO'd Adonis Stevenson and knocked down Andre Ward

For some reason, I'm finding that clip hilarious.

                  He's looks absolutely broken.

Dude has talent, but his chin wont hold up vs kovolev,,,,,

only way for him to beat kovolev is weather the early storm, take him past 6 rounds, and kovolev will gas from there,, then Issymal needs to get busy with the jab, move and box, and setup combos off the jab, down the stretch of the fight, and win a close 115-113 split decision, or possibly stopping kovolev if he totally gasses out

Issmayl doesnt have great stamina, or at least it hasnt been tested in deep waters yet, but that is the only way i see Ismayll winning

I don't like his stamina, I think they need to work on that, but we'll see at the end of the month if he has improved any.
