    GGG is the new Mr.HBO

I didn't see an article on it here but Steve Kim is saying GGG's fight against Stevens pulled up to 1.5 million viewers putting him in the same range as Broner when he was on HBO. His ratings have been improving quite dramatically since his debut, which was the lowest watched HBO boxing event ever.

Without having to post videos on WSHH, and against a no name like Stevenson.

I think he was helped a bit by the lead in that probably didn't draw people in before hand but made people stop and watch.

Still though when you think about the other names on the card that were all really unknowns that is pretty strong.

He's a star. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take over Hollywood next

HBO went with the Gregg Popovich approach. Sign foreign players because they work harder than young Americans. Ever wonder why San Antonio Spurs' roster is filled with foreign players? Popovich believes the foreigners work harder and aren't babied and coddled from day 1.

While Americans...if you have an up and coming olympic boxer or just a flashy young boxer...they are constantly surrounded by yes men and get everything they want. Same with young future star basketball players. They get paid by future agents and all that stuff and perhaps gives them the impression that those material things will always be there.

              2 different types of mentality.

Curtis Stevens and Adonis Stevenson are two different fighters

GGG is on his way to becoming Mr. HBO. The way to solidify his position as the biggest name on the network would be to beat Martinez and Ward.

I'd say if he displays the same dominance in his next two fights, he'll be one of the faces of boxing.
