    Broner is no floyd mayweather,,,

I have said in the past and will say again here,,, If there is a great fighter that broner is comparable to its a young james toney,,,

they both are kinda flat footed,, broner mimicks toney's defensive style,,,

Toney was the hardest talent to judge in the early 90s,,, lose nearly every round to nunn and ko him,, come from behind to win when he got cut- i think by littles,, look great vs an ATG mccallum,, look horrible vs a club fighter tiberi,, looked great vs barkley,, I have seen toney fade late, come on strong late,,,, be in great shape, be in horrible shape, dominated all 12 rounds, barely escape with a split decision,,, you name the situation and toney has been there,,,

Broner seems to be the same,,, looks horrible vs ponce,, destroys litzau, out of shape for escabido, totally ready and primed vs demarco,, horribly overconfident vs pauli,, vs maidana i think we will get the best broner but who knows,,,,

How devastating did he look though really?

Couldn't hurt Ponce De Leon, a guy who was starched in a round by Juan Ma, stopped by Gamboa, Mares. These are Featherweights.

DeMarco took a whole lot of punishment before being stopped.

Rees was stopped by Kotelnik for crying out a loud.

Broner hasn't shown anything to suggest he's a devastating puncher, at any weight.

First off I really don't like bronner but I don't think bronner gets hit too much in this fight because it's gonna end early. Maidana wont get set up fast enough to hit him with full power and get Ko'd quick, then all the bronner lovers will say "you see he can fight with a hard puncher" I really hope I'm wrong on this one. He wont sit their in the pocket and let Maidana bomb on him.

Its kind of a weird question

If a name superstar gets proven to be a bum, I'm sure everyone will be eager to fight that person to make a name for them self

Does it make him a weak link? Whatever that means... I guess

Very astute comparison between Broner and Toney. No doubt Broner has had his ups and downs but Toney was a far more talented than Broner is now and probably ever will be.

Broner's biggest weakness is that he has this incurable ache to be a certain Mister Mayweather but he doesn't have the reflexes to go with that style of defence and definitely doesn't have the handspeed to match. This allows him to be tagged by fighters with quick hands and good chins, aka Malignaggi and Deleon and so on. Maidana will do the same, will he be able to take what Broner dishes out is a different question.

I expect Broner to win by a tough, hard fought UD.
