This is the fight I'm most excited about for the remainder of the year.

I cannot wait to see how Broner reacts to being hit by someone who has some power.

Hypothetically speaking, if Adrien Broner has another below average performance at 147lbs vs Maidana on Dec 14th, much like he had against Paulie, does this make him a "weak link"?

Since he has made such a name for himself now through whatever means necessary, and seeing how he is a popular fighter, if he doesn't look stellar does this make guys like Robert Guerrero, Keith Thurman, Jesus Soto Karass etc etc eager to get a fight with him to take him out? I personally feel that if he does look average again that these guys will be looking to get a fight with him, and many guys will look at him as a target
guerrero already approached him, broner didn't want it.

            There's nothing to be assumed.

Broner's defense is average at best, Maidana will land clean at some point and likely more than once.

Broner is definitely no Floyd Mayweather, as one of his staunchest critics I will confess that Floyd is the greatest defensive fighter of all time.

But Broner's defense isn't as bad as you're making out but it's stil decent imo.

Fighters don't usually open up too much against him because of how hard he hits. He underestimated Rees and Paulie.

To be honest I view Broner as a promising looking prospect, much like I view Canelo, Ortiz and many of these other up and comers, we'll have to see how this fight turns out before we make any bold statements.

I'm not making out it's bad, I'm making out it's average, or decent, like you yourself just stated.

A decent defense won't stop you getting hit clean by Maidana.

As far as I can see he's not that hard of a puncher, especially at 147.

I find it Hilarious how so many people on this website think Broner is Floyd Mayweather and he's going to steam roll past Maidiana . Broner to me is unproven at 147 beating Paulie is nothing hell even Hatton beat Paulie. This fight is a toss up cause Madiana at time has off days but if he's focused he's very difficult to beat. So basically this fight is no walk in the park for either fighters make the best man win.

Well he couldn't really set against Paulette. At 130/135 he looked devastating though.
