WV2 is not a champ. Danny Garcia is not rican. El tipo no es puertorriqueño. Stop claiming him. 0 champ.

Cotto and Margarito were both born in the US, but everyone considers them from Puerto Rico and Mexico, but Robert Guerrero,Brandon Rios and Danny Garcia who don't speak 10% of spanish, no matter how hard they try, they will never be consider mexicans or puerto ricans.

"American" lol I wonder if anyone knows there is no such thing as PR nationality. If you are born in PR you are an American citizen.

You are what your blood says you are.

I was born and raised in America...and my mom's 100% PR. Just because I wasn't born in PR doesn't mean I'm not, that's ridiculous.

Danny Garcia is Puerto Rican. He's just not from Puerto Rico. He's full blooded Puerto Rican that was born nd raised in Philadelphia. When he was first coming up as a boxer he claimed he wanted to be the next Rican great. In his gym he put up a drawing with the Rican flag with himself and several Rican greats on it. He was recently at the Rican parade in Philly and was repping Puerto Rico and was saying how proud he its to be Puerto Rican (they showed it on showtime couple weeks ago). He even came out with the Puerto Rican flag in his trunks for a couple fights and thanked the island of Puerto Rico when he beat either Morales or Khan. He even told Oscar he wanted to fight in Puerto Rico its on YouTube.

While that's technically true, those who are born/raised or living on the island are representing PR when they fight. This thread shows that there's a variety of opinions on this topic. Some don't make the distinction between where you live/represent and your ethnicity/lineage, while others do. My dad was born and raised in PR, came to the U.S. in his teens and he'd tell you he's Puerto-Rican. My mom was born in Dominican Republic, has lived in the U.S. since she was nine and has no emotional attachment to the island. When speaking to a fellow American and asked, "Where are you from?", the assumption is that they're talking about your ethnicity, so I tell them where mom and dad are from.

Anyways, Cotto will be the next guy to get a chance at a belt if he fights Martinez or Molina.

WV bs title doesn't count. There are no current champions FROM Puerto Rico BUT there is a Puerto Rican champion in Danny swift Garcia. Stop acting like ya never saw his PR flag on his boxing trunks before. Ya that mad at us??? That ya gotta reach this much to try and **** on how bad PR boxing is???? Smh

                      Yea... it is a territory.

But yea... those questions are hilarious. They'd as me that and I say California or some other place I live.... and then they're like... no...you know what I mean. Where are you from.... from?
