Danny could have been born in PR and doesn't change the fact that he's not culturally Puerto Rican, which is what matters. Cotto wasn't even born in PR but no one would doubt him.

Trust me, there's nothing PR in Danny. No one even speaks English on the Island outside San Juan.

      Don't claim him. It's a bad look.
Yeah sure just because you say so?? LOL.

Super bantam WBO champion is Guillermo Rigondeaux, that's the only WBO WORLD champion.
International, pacific, oriental, latin, carribean belts are not WORLD.

alright. I won't convince you because you think you have proof....a flag...

i think he is just advertising himself as Rican.

and more importantly, it does not matter what you say. Puerto Rico is currently deemed without a champion. It's just you now.

We'll agree to disagree. Maybe i'll see you in culebra and ill convince you.

                    That's the point.

Puerto Rican American =/= Puerto Rican. Sure, they're both American citizens via territory status or otherwise, but there is still a difference. The distinction is that puerto rican americans aren't figured into the "PR Champ" category. They're in the American category. At least that's how most people make that distinction. I don't think people are saying that DG does not have Puerto Rican heritage or ancestry, they're just saying he's puerto rican american, not puerto rican. The same can be said about Mikey Garcia, nobody is saying he's does not have Mexican heritage/ancestry, but he's Mexican American. That is, he was not born in Mexico.

Not like it matters that much, but some people care I guess.

Lol at the Mexicans trying hard to prove that he's not Puerto Rican. Its pretty straight forward and not rocket science. He wasn't born in PR but he is of PR blood.
