Macklin/Rosado are pretty good fighters. Hell, I think stevens isn't even a bum like most people say he is. But honestly, Ouma...... yes he held the IBF LIGHT middleweight title. by that time he fought GGG he already lost to K9, Jermain Taylor, Gabe Rosado, and SAUL ROMAN...


GGG is a great, amazing, astonishing, (insert more pretentious buzzwords here) fighter. However, I think it's a bit silly for people to jump the gun and say he DESTROYS martinez, like Martinez is on damn life support on his deathbed with an IV attached. It's ridiculous.

And also beat Vanes on most people's cards. But you're right, Ouma was both a JMW and well past prime. First time I'd streamed a GGG fight, needless to say I was wondering what the hype was all about. Still you were only asking for current or former champs

Golovkin is going to kill Murray and he'll just be another "bum" that fought Golovkin

Murray is going to have a destroyed liver and some bruised ribs by the end of it.

He's got 11 KO's in 25 fights, Golovkin will know this, so I think he's going to jump on him like Ishida, Proska and Rosado, because Murray really isn't offensively exceptional. I really don't see this being a hard fight, I don't see Murray bringing anything that can win the fight.

I think Murray is underrated and has more power and skill than people realize. I like GGG in the fight but it's a much closer fight than the Stevens fight IMO.

If a fighter doesnt have great movement, he needs to come right after Golovkin to win. Just about everybody Golovkin has faced has been scared of him other then Ouma and Proksa and gave themselves no chance to win other then a lucky shot. Murray's gonna have to take big shots to land his own, and he cant be afraid to do so

Ouma put it on GOlovkin for several rounds.

Murray has a style that might cause problems for Golovkin...at least he's a better fighter than Oshida and some of the others.

Agree Murray will be a very hard fight for GGG.

Boxrec doesn't "jump the gun" they have highly liable sources. They had Mayweather vs Guerrero/Ortiz/Cotto up before it was announced on any notable boxing media sites, and even before Floyd mentioned it on Twitter.

Notice from now on, that when Boxrec puts up a fight and the fight doesn't happen it was because the fight actually fell through, not because it was never going to happen. Actually Boxrec only goes by substantial evidence that the fight will happen.

He just dealt with a high guard in Stevens. Only difference is that Murray will be coming forward, which i think will be worse for him then going backwards was for stevens.

Murray is not that hard of a puncher or quick and holds him hands up real high. GOlovkin will destroy his body

Only difference being that Stevens is a midget.

Not that it will matter anyway because Golovkin will lay the pipe.

I would imagine they would have to pay a decent amount to secure Murray.
