Man, it's obvious Martinez doesn't have many fights left. Don't waste one of those on ****ing Rubio.

Would suck if he breaks his hand or gets another knee injury against Rubio that puts him out for another extended period of time.

I remember he said he'd just retire if something like that happened again.

Overall Cotto has had some massive paydays fight after fight. But really I don't hold anything against him landing another payday as any other boxer, but I was just pissed that Martinez might miss out on one over canelo.

Honestly i hope that Martinez gets the fight more than canelo because he's a fighter who has been forced to fight the best and even give up his title to fight more dangerous fighters to get on hbo.

If anyone is deserving a last payday here it's Martinez.
You do realize alot of people favored Yuri to beat Cotto because he was coming off of a stoppage loss and Yuri looked so good against Santos.

I think it had something to do with them not drug testing Jr when they fought so his mando spot was re-instated.

He took sued the WBC in court over breach of contract for not testing Chavez after their fight. He won and as a result the WBC was ordered to restore Rubio's ranking from before the Chavez fight. Turns out he was the ranked #1 mando at the time, so he has been restored as mando to the WBC belt.

Honestly other than paying Rubio off, the WBC has no way to prevent this fight. Rubio will legally block any fight they try to make. Sergio needs to hurry up and just get this fight over with already

it might be smarter for martinez to take the rubio fight to see where he's at as far as injuries then go into the more dangerous fights

Or how about if his injury is aggravated in the first couple rounds and he LOSES to Rubio.

Rubio getting a break because of Jr's dirty ways. Smh pounded Rubio and got up outta there without taking a post fight drug test.
