If i could be like any fighter or fighters one of them would be Morales as well as PAC Unlike most pac fans I admire Morales a whole lot haha.

If I could be one fighter, I would be Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini. This is not a bad idea for a thread.

erik should retire, he cant beat the elites at 135 which is the weight he can make without hurting himself, 130 is to much for him now to much draining and his wars from 3 mab bouts 2 pac fights and so on are taking its toll, to damaged and cant fight in a weight class in which he can be a top dog.

Of the 3 Mexicans, I only respect Morales because he is fearless in the ring and whatever his reputation OUTSIDE the ring may be, inside, it's simply quite impeccable.

But injuries sustained in brutal losses like the one he had on PAC should prompt him to retire. He already has the money to settle himself up. He has a family to think about.

Common sense dictates that if he chooses to fight PAC again, it's a sure way he will be dismantled physically again. Win or lose for Morales, his body will go through the same world full of hurt again and there is only so much a body can take before it gives out. No matter how tough you may be.

I agree, Morales should retire. Morales is just not the young and hungry fighter he once was. Morales last somewhat easy fight was against Guty Espadas Jr. and after that Morales fought Jesus Chavez, Carlos Alberto Hernandez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Zahir Raheem, and the Pacquiao wars. All against elite fighters that went the distance except his last fight with Pacquiao and if all those wars dont do anything to your body then I dont know what does(dont forget all his other fights and wars at 122 and 126). But I dont think just cause of the beating he took from Pacquiao should be the only reason why he should retire. Morales has just been in too many hard fights to actully think he could keep going. I belive if he were to fight Pacquiao again even at lightweight Morales would get beat again. I just dont see how he can win against the yough, strong, and still hungry Pacquiao, and if someone were to think Morales is still the same Morales then your crazy.

Great points, but for me I just cant believe its over for him yet something tells me that he's gonna come back nicely the way Barrera did after MAB lost in a similar way to pacquiao. It just sux to realize he might not last as long as Marco.
