The only thing Ward is truly guilty of is being injury prone!
There are things you really don't know or you don't remember...
... Immediately after the former Showtime Vice President Ken Hershman was promoted to President of HBO Sports (starting in January 2012), Ward switched from Showtime to HBO. And so did Bute... As Hershman organized the Super Six and also protected Bute (for a big Ward-Bute unification fight, after the tournament), Bute repeatedly asked Ward for that planned bout... Ward refused the fight, while Andre Dirrell and Hopkins called Bute instead... Eventually Bute landed in the UK to fight Froch (with HBO refusing to air the fight).

... Check the news back then...

This is how the sport of boxing is supposed to work. 1 champion defending against the highest ranked contenders.

GGG, Kovalev and Stevenson haven't come close to cleaning out their divisions.

Yet Ward gets criticized and people suck these other guys off so much its become a part of their daily nutritional diet.

Ward is the reigning king at 168. If you want to fight him, put in work and get ranked in that division so you can get your ass kicked on HBO.

It wasn't a duck because Ward was hurt and couldn't have fought Bute immediately after the Super Six anyway. Nothing else about the situation matters, the fight could not happen because Ward was injured. If Bute had taken a soft touch and still been there to fight when Ward came back from his injury, I'm sure Ward would have fought him. Instead he fought Froch and got massacred.

          Please read #171...
... Bute didn't ask Ward to fight him on the spot (i.e. while still injured)...
... Ward refused the Bute fight without mentioning any health issues. Ward simply dismissed Bute and sent him fight one or two top fighters before anything... That's all Ward said at that time...
Andre Dirrell (!?!) and B-Hop immediately backed Ward and called Bute...
To conclude: Ward never specifically told Bute to wait until he's healing from his broken hand (he actually suffered before the Froch fight -- i.e. during the training camp...)

Just read his quotes. He's fighting Rodriquez. If he wins I'm certain he'll fight 1 of the 3. TBH, I'm not sure he'll easily beat Adonis or Kovalev. I think they'll pose some serious problems for him. I used to brush off Ward/GGG altogether but since people actually believe GGG would beat him, I wouldn't mind seeing Ward dismantle him.

I agree with Ward. HOnestly, Lampley needs his head examined for putting GGG in his p4p top 5 and pretending he is more than he is. He has become nothing more than a network shill.

Ward and Sergio have earned there place yet HBO is just trying to shove GGG up there.

He's been pretty vocal about fighting Chavez next. Imo he has no intention of moving up to fight Kovalev or Stevenson and I don't think he has much interest in Golovkin either (nor does K2 in moving him up to fight Ward).

Chavez Jr. and Froch are at the top of Ward's wishlist afaik.

I'll rather wait and see Andre Ward's comeback fight...
It's not about his opponent (who's not relevant at this point).
It's about Andre's shape (after surgery) and overall performance...
                    I wish him the best!

I'd like to see him beat Adonis and move up.

He's right, beating Golovkin would not catapult him - he is a middleweight.
