Like I said in the other thread, if Cotto is getting 10M then how much is Canelo getting? If they pay him more I see it impossible for Showtime to make a profit out of this fight. And if he gets paid less it goes to show who's the A side and B side.

Regarding a Floyd rematch, he could do that even if he goes for Martinez. And if he beats Martinez, a Floyd fight with the lineal middleweight tittle on the line will be tons bigger than a Floyd fight coming off a Canelo win.

No way are they gonna be able to match that offer.

Scheafer is being vague about the exact figure so I don't know about matching it, but he could for sure make 10M with Martinez. (assuming Martinez is okay with the right split)

What does Arum have to with it? This is between Cotto who is a promotional free agent, Canelo who is a Golden Boy fighter and Sergio Martinez who is promoted by Lou Di Bella.

I rather Cotto fight Canelo. Martinez is not even a sure thing that he can recuperate from his injuries. People are lining up to fight Martinez because he looks vulnerable.

If a profitable fight like Jmm vs Bradley pay 6m to JMM and 4m to Bradley with 375k buys, its simple to think Cotto will earn 12m and canelo 8m or 9m with 750k buys ( even 850k with the right promotion), and showtime will have his cut of this.

Cotto has shown that when he fights legit stars his ppvs are easily over 1 mil.

VS Floyd 1.5 MIL PPVB
VS MANNY 1.25 MIL PPVB

VS Canelo he'll do at least 1 mil IMO. Canelo has a huge following
