To me Kovalev and Golovkin are punchers but verry skilled punchers. Skill+power= sounds like a winning combination!

I wouldn't call Golovkin and Kovalev sluggers, they just so happen to have brutal power.

I don't think he means dangerous as in dangerous like Kovalev/Knockout dangerous.... He means dangerous as in this is not an easy fight - Sillakh is a live opponent and is a tremendous boxer and very skilled. Dangerous as in if Kovalev doesn't show up, takes him serious or get lazy - Sillakh has the skills to outbox anybody at 175 for 12 rounds.

Koavlev has a good chin too: This is the punch that KO'd Adonis Stevenson and put Andre Ward on the floor. he hardly blinked and kept going to work

I've said many times on here both Kovalev and Golovkin are going to be very hard to beat and their relentless pressure is going to be difficult to keep off because both seem to have fantastic chins and that just makes these two guys P4P two of the most, if not the most dangerous in the sport

Nobody's going to want to unify with Kovalev

I think they are VERY GOOD fighters but I cannot anoint cats who have not faced any real adversity - when they step on the gas their opponents fold, that tells you nothing. For cats to dismiss Hopkins is crazy - the man is proven, we see how he reacts / adjusts / his conditioning / didn't we all witness Hopkins get dropped twice against a 20 something year old champion, get up dust himself off and get a highly disputed draw? The bandwagon will always roll thru your town - some people pay to get on, and others miss it, but it makes regular stops - I'm not new to this beloved sport -GGG has a problem with cats that get off first, and he is pretty easy to hit - Kovalev is pretty good, but who with skills is going to stand in front of him? Remember Czar dude who fought Malik Scott - he was supposed to whip Malik, but Malik used movement and I am anxious to see what Adamek does with the blueprint. Until I see GGG get pushed back, knocked down or has to make a couple of adjustments, i'm good, same with Kovalev, I think both are good fighters, but they have not been tested to be anointed!

Good point about Kovalev having a good chin, i haven't seen that Boone fight before, heard about it though. I agree with your last paragraph as well.

It's not about not being dangerous. Sillakh has some wonderful skills, elite skills but the problem with him is he stands straight up and has shown a questionable chin in the AM's where he was stopped a number of times and being stopped by a wild swinging Grachev doesn't reflect well on his ability to take a punch and then facing one of the most brutal punchers at 175 who hits even harder in Kovalev. This is one of those fights where Ismayl can not afford to make a mistake or it could be over fast. He has to box the perfect fight and if he wins, that is a huge accomplishment. It would put him right back in the picture. He should try to use a fierce jab and try to back Kovalev back and see if Kovalev can fight going back and use a tight defense. He can hit, for sure. Maybe he can rematch Grachev now that Grachev's chin has been cracked.

What does fans saying some other completely different fighter is going to run through some other fighter have to do with Sergey Kovalev? This is like when people on here are always talking about Garcia-Lucas when talking about Golovkin, for example. I really don't understand it.

Anyway, nobody is being "anointed," the article is about Kovalev wanting to fight the other title holders. He's only had 21 fights and and is publicly stating (and has been) that he wants to fight all of the best in the division. On top of that in 2013 he has beat two top 10 LHW (one a titlist and the other was the arguable unified champ at 175) and a top 25 guy in a mandatory fight, so I'm not sure what the problem is?
