i remember when roach used quillin as a gateway for sergio to fight pacquiao, he said if sergio beat quillin first he would get a shot at pac and that was some years back before anyone knew who quillin was sergio would of starched him back then and most likley will now!! lolQuillin is a joke.
he calls out people when when somebody calls him on it he backs off.
Martinez offered Quillin a fight and he turned them down. his team's excuse was "he isn't ready"
but Quillin goes off and talks smack like Martinez is ducking him but Quillin rejected the fight.
and now with GGG
it's the same story except GGG's team is calling Quillin out on his BS.
basically Quillin just uses their names to get his out there but he has no real intention of fighting anybody, especially after barely escaping Rosado.Comment

Network contracts don't matter if it's a mandated showdown do they?
One thing is when Quillin was just interviewed they asked him for an opponent of his choosing..he said Martinez and we know Martinez is on HBO too just like Golovkin, people been trying to get Quillin to say the name Golovkin but the kid does not want any parts of this guy. When they ask Quillin directly about Golovkin he starts the "i'll fight anyone, my guys haymon and schaeffer they find me the best fight...". When they ask Golovkin the kid says "Quillin, martinez, ward, guys i'm right here". Nuff said.Comment

I'm actually not sure. I think he might be locked in for a certain amount of fights rather then fight by fight because I believe when they were looking to fight Ishida in Monaco, it had to be approved by HBO - which would be the reason I doubt Golovkin and his team can just look for a non-HBO fight next and try to fight Quillin on Showtime for example, I think HBO would have to approve it.
I may be wrong and I have no source, but I was under the impression they have him for a certain amount of fights/timeComment

No, network contracts do not matter if its a mandatory fight. I.e Vanes-Lara, etc.... If nobody can come to an agreement by the date the sanctioning body sets, then it goes to purse bid and the fight goes on or else the champion will be forced to vacate.Network contracts don't matter if it's a mandated showdown do they?

There could be a couple of situations like this in 2014. Russell Jr - Lomachenko/Salido, Danny Garcia - Khabib Allekhverdiev, probably some more
That doesn't matter for Golovkin-Quillin, thoughComment

Yeah no one really knows. Which is why people need to stop saying fighters are hiding behind networks because it was HBO blacklisting people in the first place which was lame to meI'm actually not sure. Multi fight contracts are nothing new. No mystery here, GGG is free to fight off HBO but not on HBO's #1 rival. So if HBO doesn't pick up the Monaco fight, he can do a small time independent PPV like the last timeComment

HBO will most likely try to pick it up though
You do know why people are saying that right?
Golovkin offered to fight him before he had a title, dude said no.
Then he started saying Golovkin needs to build his name up.
Now with the full blown Network rivalry in effect, he's more than open to fight GolovkinComment
