IMO Sergio's style is to move back and move, that plays right into GGG's style. Sergio can get hit by people, and when you don't use a damn guard (Hands low) and have been hit by guys such as Murray, Macklin, and Barker whom are very average fighters for a weak era of a MW division, you will get hit by GGG.

Stevens using a high guard, throwing less and generally moving on he ropes really helped him survive, but literally that is what he did. 2 more rounds and he would be KO'd...

Martinez moves laterally or backwards which GGG likes going forward.
    Martinez has low hands...
Martinez can be dropped by guys who aren't monstrous punchers...
    Martinez is an overhyped Argie...
yes exactly. martinez barely beat Cintron. He's always been overated because of that Williams KO. I have nothing against the guy but styles make fights, and Sergio style is all wrong for GGG. GGG wins inside 8.

Even at his best Sergio would take shots. Even vs a Pavlik who was out of his prime. Kelly was on his way to winning that fight until two cuts opened up and he slowed down. So I would have favored Golovkin over any version Sergio.

I think Cotto, a JMW, can take on Martinez at 160 now and possibly win. Martinez should stay away from the top 3 MW's. Cash out fighting Cotto and Canelo.

            GGG will work Martinez.

Sergio has always gotten hit more than he is given credit for.

What if they fought in Outer Space and nobody came?

Martinez will win. If he has two good wheels, I think he will box circles around GGG. He might have to put his hands up doe.

Martinez is probably my second favorite active fighter but he won't beat GGG

Golovkin does most of his work to the body and up against the ropes....When's the last time Martinez got pinned against the ropes for an extended period of time? And when's the last time he took significant damage to the body in a fight? I'll wait.
