The biggest tragedy here is that Mago had to take a cab to the hospital then wait in emergeancy room. Where were the MSG doctors where were the NYSAC commissioners.
Looks to me like Mago wasn't given proper treatment from the get go

These types of situations are always time critical, all evidence points to improper treatment before the fight, during the fight and after the fight.

There may have been little they could've done to prevent Mago's current condition. The damage may already have been done. But it's clear that Magomed's health was grossly overlooked by several doctors. Based on the broken nose alone, there should've been an ambulance waiting for him after the bout. The man had just finished a brutal fight where he took many, many heavy shots. How a doctor doesn't insist on immediate treatment and evaluation is beyond me.

I wonder what happened with Mike Perez after the fight. He didn't suffer the same level of damage as Mago, but he took some bombs himself. Did Mike take a trip to the hospital?

What would be more interesting is testimony from Mike's corner and Mike Perez himself as to what sort of treatment he had received after the fight and what sort of precautionary measures were taken before the fight. I believe Grinberg more than I believe the commision

Not on you, but I hate this doomsday talk. You had people on here talking about harvesting his organs a week ago and arguing some negative doctor's opinion as gospel.

Mago's a fit young man, he survived. Let's have some faith he recovers fully.

I've tried to remain at least neutral when it comes to my expectations regarding Mago. I mean, let's face it, the man has suffered a major blow to his health. On the other hand, he would be far from the first person to beat the odds. I agree that Magomed's physical strength and will to survive give him a chance to beat those odds. I'm very hopeful for him. Can't wait to hear that Mago's come out of his coma intact.

Fingers crossed for Magos full recovery!!

I want to encourage all boxing fans on here to make even just a small donation to aid Mago's family through this incredibly costly ordeal. His wife and kids will need it. Click on this link http://ring10ny.com/ and donate via paypal at the bottom. 100% of this money will go to mago and his family!

i'd be shocked if the comission doesn't have to at least spend a day in court defending themselves. magomed should have been sent to a hospital in an ambulance. i am not a doctor, but if a guy has a broken nose, hand, and jaw / cheek, and took bombs for 10 rounds, i'm riding with him in the back of an ambulance and getting him seen by experts with the proper instruments and imaging techniques to clear him.

the opinion of a doctor certainly has value. it was made explicit by the guy who posted the opinion that the doctor was using his experience and speculating.

he won't be the same, man. he suffered a stroke and a brain bleed. he's going to be lucky to get back to 100% just being a father, nevermind boxing at the world class the way he used to.

Has anyone thought that HE didnt want to ride in the EMS? He just wanted to go get checked out. Knowbody knew. It wasnt like he was KTFO like Manny type of KO. Then the Docs would have insisted. He was responsive and alert. Nobody knew the issues that were to be faced. And how he got there wouldnt have made any difference either.
