Salido's on the slide but still has enough in the tank, if he beats Saldio with ease then we have a fighter with huge potential. Even if he sc****s out a tough victory it's his second pro fight!Comment

Another thing to look out for - they will generally throw in a token non-black guy to get behind. It's usually Danny Garcia - mainly because he handled Matthyse, the great white hope. Also because Danny has been with Haymon a long time, before Lucas/Chino got signed up.
They may also say they like Mikey Garcia - reasoning being that he's got mad skills cos he can fight on the backfoot, unlike that leaky defence, plodder Golovkin.
Fighting on the backfoot - superskilled.
Fighting on the front foot, throwing punches with gorgeous technique and scary power, closing the show and getting your opponent out of there = HYPEJOB.Comment

Racial solidarity.
There's a lot of great black posters on this site - but there's a huge majority who get freaked out when a whiteboy/non-black fighters starts getting love. They are already coming for Lomachenko. These same people also generally hate Manny Pacquaio.
And love/defend Adrien Broner.
Let me reel off some names -
DempseyRolling, Big James, BigDunn, Boxingfeint, Larry X, Black Celph, BoxingGenius, Brother Jay, Coach Webb, Fetta, Hanz Gruber, Ducketts, J The Unbiased.Comment

I'm with you. Definitely not sold on him yet but I can't wait for the Salido fight.

it was his pro debut, dude. everything was there that you look for in a debut. it was his first night on the job.
talent, skills, a style that was very obviously tuned up after he was done as an amateur, it was there. he looked spectacular for a 10 fight pro against a no hoper, nevermind a debuting fighter against a 30 fight pro who hand't been stopped.
most guys on a debut literally don't know what to do. they fall for their own feints, rofl. the ring makes more noise than their gloves when they're stumbling around. it's an awkward mess.Comment

Not at all, I just think him and boner's fans are total ****s and take the piss accordingly. To be fair, you're a bit of a helmet, so you arent exactly well placed to be critical in this regard.Comment
