Ward isn't stopping anybody again for at least half a decade. He will go on a Hopkins type drought, especially if he moves up to 175. He is already a weak puncher for 168.

Don't let the Dawson TKO lure you into a false sense of confidence in Ward's KO abilities or abilities to break a guy down for a stoppage TKO. If GGG moves up, that's even less dehydrating he has to do. The extra 8 pounds might make him a weaker puncher, but his chin will get even that much better.

Let's be honest, Ward has an ugly style for anyone. Including TV.

Not really. Ward has the size advantage, and he'd easily outboxes GGG. GGG fights at a pace that suits Ward's style and Ward wouldn't give him any openings to land his power shots.

The #1 thing that makes Andre Ward a pound for pound fighter is his sense of distance. Ward will smother him, land and grab him up so nothing comes back in return. Rinse and repeat.

Power doesn't win fights. Skills do.
This.... on top of that, GGG's jab is good but he doesn't always use it. I've long posted about the numerous holes in his game and fact of the matter is that GGG is a one-trick pony. At this point, I'd take Sergio Mora to get robbed against him.

Still would pick Ward but it would be interesting...if Ward and GGG can build a fanbase, HBO would have them a superfight...

The fight of Ward's life is at 175....NOBODY from 160-168 can **** with Dre imo....Triple G can put the smash on Chocolate and Maravilla though....SOG will beat Triple G all day imo....dudes like Kovalev, Stevenson and Pascal have better chances at beating SOG than Triple G does imo

A lot depends on if Ward is allowed his HGH and Jack Reiss.

GGG controls distance with that jab like none other. GGG is there to hit...but good luck actually hurting him. His chin is never in the air and Ward don't have power like that anyways. So we know Ward isn't stopping GGG.

The difference maker would be GGG's jab. It's hard, he controls distance with it and he pumps it constantly. It would give Ward's in and out, too close or too far style fits.

Would LOVE to see this fight...I think we'd see the best of both these guys but I could see GGG beating Ward via decision or KO.
Based on what I saw tonight, Ward would win every round of a fight against GGG and may stop him late. GGG is good, but he is not at Ward's level.

I think you and many others are falling in love with GGG's power the same way you fell in love with Matthysse's power and we all know what happened to him.

2 different fighting styles, Wards D and combo punching will be to much for GGG, I will say GGG cuts off the ring with some authority but wards ability to slip and angle will confuse him. Also what I noticed about these Russians is they cant fight going back so you have to keep your hands moving. This fight tonight looked just like Alvarado vs Ruslan.
