I've seen the word "******," "thug," and even more descriptive ones like "animal" used to describe a particular race of boxers thrown around on this site so many times, and often with no real consequences. The funny thing is you hardly see it going the other way. Golovkin talked about beating up people in the streets of Kazakhstan but I've never once heard him described as a "thug." You might not be a racist, but throwing out racial slurs often in conversations where it's not even necessary makes you pretty damn close.

Its because these people are racist its the same thing as every brown fighter is slick lol these people are racists and what really makes it sad is when other ********** do it to each other thats the ultimate eye opener for me it just proves how ignorant people really are

I base my opinion of a boxer's ability on his performance in the ring, NOT what color his skin is. There are slick black boxers as well as slick white boxers and slick brown boxers and slick yellow boxers. Casting allusions on an entire race because of a couple of boxers whose styles you don't like is blatant racism. My current favorite boxers happen to be 2 Europeans (Golovkin and Kovalev) and 1 Hatian-Canadian (Adonis Stevenson) because I like hard hitting fighters who go in there to knock out their opponents. Where they come from and what color their skin is doesn't enter into it. Don't let pig-headed blowhards like Mayweather cloud your mind into thinking this is how all black fighters box, talk or pick their fights. Remember Ali? There were a whole lot of black boxing fans and boxers alike who were chomping at the bit to shut his mouth in the ring.

Golovkin outlanded Stevns 293-93 and won almost every round, got his chin checked.... And he had a bad fight? Jeez some people are ridiculous here .. All you keyboard warriors are ignoring the fact that Stevens, and rosado.... Both when they felt the power of Golovkin, went into survival mode to merely try and survive! They never fight like that In any other fights so that right there tell you something about the respect people who, you know, step in the ring with Golovkin, have for him. Hell Stevens was even criticizing Macklin for trying to survive , and he dd the same thing !

¿Where do you get Stevens was hand picked? When it was Stevens the one who challenged Golovkin & Golovkin will annihilate Cotto in less rounds it took him to stop Stevens..

Not the 40 yr old version of Martinez. He won't be able to be mobile for an entire fight and GGG can cut off the ring and is more responsible on defense than other opponents Martinez has faced. GGG also has better fundamentals that Martinez; having a more extensive amateur background.

anyone who can't see the GGG is a terrific fighter is blind -- he totally outclassed Stevens who may not be an elite guy but does have some credentials -- GGG would be too much for Martinez at this point -- think he would handle Quillen also based on Quillen's lackluster recent fight

You lost all credibility when you said "Cotto will cause big problems for GG." That is a complete joke. Golovkin would knockout Cotto within 4 if they fight, probably sooner. Cotto, who is generally there to be hit, would not have gotten up off the floor from that left hook that put stevens down. Plus, they could do it at 154. Golovkin has already said he will go down there for a big fight. Why wouldn't Mayweather step up and fight Golovkin at 154? Same reason Martinez won't fight him at 160: way too much risk and not enough reward. Before he got old, Martinez would have a shot with his much superior foot speed. Mayweather would be in trouble. Golovkin throws in great combinations and his power would overwhelm Floyd's shoulder roll defense.
