I'm thinking Perez will dazzle him with speed & skill but I'll admit to not having seen too much of Mago. And these Eastern Blockers are generally fairly skilled themselves.
Kudos to both for taking the fight.
I have seen both multiple times. Mago trains in Oxnard. He will KO Perez.
We got us a heavyweight fight here! These guys are very evenly matched in almost every category:
Both guys are southpaws
Magomed 18-0, Perez 19-0
Judging from the pic they are almost exactly the same height
Perez 236 lbs
Mago 232 lbs
both guys are up-and-coming young heavyweights
Last time i saw Perez was when he won the prize fighter this should be fun, and we should get a real message of who is the goods and who is not of the two.

Very intriguing....
Evenly matched everywhere except when it comes to skills. Perez is far more skilled.
ok we al agree that Perez is much more skilled and fast and better defense, but...
how do you think he will fight when Mago will pressure him, he looks a little bit lazy on "ring movement" sector. And how good is he when he needs to fight from the back leg, cause he must. If he stand his ground and go for the exchanges with much harder hitting MAgo it will be all over for him.

Perez is also the better ring general... I've rarely seen him not control center ring. If he takes center ring, he's dominating Mago (who won't know what to do against Perez on the back foot). If Mago is strong enough to force Perez on to the back foot, he'll get out boxed.
It's not lazy ring movement, it's economical movement. He moves just enough to avoid getting hit clean. He's a responsible defensive fighter that is going to frustrate Abdusalamov on offense and defense.

I agree with this. It really should be a walk in the park for Mike. All the tools are there.
