Not entirely sure how that makes him the winner

Seemed pathetic to me and childish, kind of thing a 10 year old child would say.

To me, Groves came off as an absolute clown and was talking utter nonsense and Froch rose above it and didn't even entertain it.

      Groves was cringeworthy.

I agree that he may have come across as childish. But so did Froch and so has he in the build up.

If I was either fighters I would have been more pleased If I was Groves, simply because he riled Froch up to a degree where he had trouble controlling himself. He's not the usual confident Froch who'll look at you like you're a piece of s hit.

He didn't even want to look at or talk to Groves. He didn't have anything to come back with.

        Therefore, Groves won.

It's not going to be the one sided brutal beatdown the majority of the people think it will be.

Groves will be competitive in this fight.

              How was Froch childish?

All Froch was was respectful, talked about the fight, talked how the talk is over and it'll be a great fight in the ring.

I don't see anyway Froch was childish. Because he didn't respond to Groves nonsense?

Froch didn't come back by his own accord. Why would anyone respond to something so pathetic? Groves was absolutely cringe worthy. Why would anyone entertain that?

If he'd have got all angry and responded with insults then he'd be doing what Groves wants.

Instead he let Groves babble on making himself look like an absolute fool.

Groves certainly didn't "win" anything. Other than looking like an idiot.

I mean, the guy genuinely reminded me of David Brent. I struggled to watch I was cringing so badly.

"Your breath stinks" - I meant in the build up. He's talking about Groves as if he was nothing. He's having double standards on many accounts and has resorted to insults often.

Tonight he didn't want to face Groves, talk to him directly or even answer his questions when they were serious.

I agree he was cringeworthy, and he took it too far. He's being the Degale in this build-up, which I don't really understand. You can see how much he's changed in the last two years. Obviously that's why Booth dropped him.

That being said, Froch just didn't face up to it. He should have just said, listen kid let's see on the night. But he didn't. He had no comeback to anything Groves said. A little disappointing imo.

I'm a big fan of Froch's but I find it funny how you can say Groves was childish and Froch was respectful though. Going back to the Ward fight and the faceoff, Froch was doing the exact same thing. Or the pre-fight presser (for which I was present) he was letting into Abraham and said he'd stuff him like a chicken and called his promoter a lot of names - names that escape me at the moment.

Then he said he felt like killing Kessler.

So I found it a bit strange to lay into Groves when Froch has done a lot of the same things throughout his career. Groves is just doing what he should be doing - getting on Froch's nerves so he'll come out guns blazing. That's obviously what he wants and probably what he'll get.

Whether it's a good idea or not is a different matter entirely.

I'm talking about tonight. I don't see where he was childish tonight.

And he's been no where near as childish as Groves was tonight.

Groves had double standards, he said "The difference between mine and Carl's situation and the Froch-Calzaghe situation is I'm actually the #1 mandatory contender, I didn't trash talk my way to this shot (Yes he did)"

Froch then replied with "I'm a bit confused as to why that's different, because I was the #1 contender for Calzaghe's WBC title belt."

George then said "I didn't say that" despite literally just saying exactly that.

To me, that was the best part of the whole show.

Froch not rising to this idiotic nonsense from Groves was the absolute best thing to do. It's obvious Groves was dieing for a reaction and Froch just laughed it off the whole time.

                    That's what I don't understand.

Adam and Johnny kept saying "You did this same thing against Degale in the build up" how did he? He didn't at all. He's taking the role of Degale if anything.

He did say that. He consistently elluded to the fact that it's 3 weeks out, the time to talk is over and we will find out who's the better man in the ring.

The only things he didn't have a comeback to was just pathetic attempts at Groves trying to get a reaction and failing miserabley.

Groves kept constantly saying "I've seen his weaknesses, I know how to exploit them"

Froch could easily have said we all saw you go life and death with Kenny Anderson, we all saw you have a razor close fight with Degale. But he's been here before he doesn't need to rise to Groves who's doing nothing but loving the sound of his own voice sounding like a 10 year old spoilt child.

I didn't say anything about the past, I'm referring to this altercation.

And like I said, Froch has never acted like a buffoon like Groves did tonight.

Because Groves was just being pathetic.

When he said "Are you going to cry" I genuinely couldn't watch. It was one of the most absolutely cringe worthy attempts at trash talk I've ever seen.

Everyone there just seemed embarrassed at Groves, I was embarrassed at Groves and he himself should be embarrassed when he watches it back.

Froch dealt with it perfectly, he's been here a over and over he's a proven elite level fighter and multiple world champion. The best way to deal with that kind of thing is dismiss it.

Lol at Froch having Groves labelled with the likes of S****horpe. Groves really does not know who he has gotten himself in the ring with.

There is nobody on his resume close to the level of Froch.
