  • +450 is a dog yes. But not a huge underdog. It's hard to judge a line when a Philippino or a Mexican fight because their countrymen put down bank on their boy simply because of allegiance. I'm not surprised the line hasn't moved.

Look man, I got no beef with you. If you believe what you posted you are entitled. Its just hard to believe, given the cirumcstancs, that this is a FOTY candidate and it will play out this way.

      THis is a MISMATCH.

Good point. but the line not moving suggests gamblers believe this will be a blowout.

        • This will be a good fight, but I have Pac by stoppage or wide decision.

Yes, Pacquiao is so superior compared to other men that his year of inactivity and coming off the most brutal KO of the century is not a factor.

Even though other boxers in Pacquiao's position would be considered less a favorite, Manny Pacquiao is such a super human that Rios is nothing more than a "tune up"

As a Pacfan, I am basing my honest opinion on this matter on your claims

Rios is a tune up simply because he's not a top fighter. He wasn't anywhere near the best at 140, lost his last fight against another non top guy, and this is his first fight at 147. Say what you will but Manny isn't that far gone that he shouldn't walk through Rios with ease. Manny is expected to dominate this fight as he should be...if he doesn't easily handle Rios he will really have to weigh his options because Rios isn't anywhere near the best at 140 or 147 and there are plenty of fighters better.

Rios always looks like crap at any weight. He's not drained just has poor physique. Anyhow it's kinda odd how rios moving up for his first fight is scary...yet a lot of fighters fighting a guy with no fights at their weight it's frowned upon...why is that?

However, I don't agree with the OP on how he sees the fight turning out. I believe It will be an exciting all action war for as long as it lasts, Rios will be absorbing and walking thru violent attacks and landing some bombs of his own. Ultimately, I think the corner stops the fight for Rios in the 9th or so.
