I don't think Floyd would even finish the fight. No chance in hell he wins this fight.

is there anyway floyd could have beaten leonard?

Leonard had significantly worse defense and adaptability than Floyd. Floyd has a very real chance to win.

Every single time Floyd fights, he fights guys who have completely different styles, and he himself changes his entire style in order to dominate them without getting grazed. Everytime he fights, we use the word masterpiece describe what he did. He's just soooo good. SRL did a somewhat masterful job against Duran. But he is rarely a master-tactician. He aint no Mayweather so get over it.
No, it's a fact. Your inability to actually see or appreciate what Leonard actually did to beat Hearns merely confirms your ******ity. To do what he did actually did require "otherworldly skills"- and what's more, he did it against a genuinely great fighter who was at the top of his game (something a Mayweather fan like yourself would never be able to actually comprehend.)
Edit: I'm arguing with someone who referred to Ortiz, Alvarez and Guerrero "great fighters."Last edited by Ham Porter; 11-02-2013, 08:29 AM.

He couldnt even land a jab on Duran. In the rematch, he cherrypicked him right away because he knew he would be out of shape. He ducked Hagler and cherrypicked him when he was old. Floyd would have him throwing one or two shots, as soon as the fight started. The opening round, Floyd would already having him fight his fight. If SRL tries to throw combinations, Floyd would just tie him up on the insides to stop all that mess! Same thing he did with Ghost. I knew Floyd wouldnt be able to counter Ghost on the inside, or do much fighting off the ropes. Floyd tied him up on the inside, same thing he would do to Broner to stop his inside fighting. Terrible style match up for SRL because Floyd would capitalize on his lack of D, and once that happens, your already fighting Floyd's fight. I have Floyd winning that 11 rounds to 1!

And yea Ortiz, Alvarez, and Ghost were very big dangerous fighters at the time Floyd fought them. Most of you base your fight predictions off of hype; "Floyd will win because he's Floyd. A goofy looking lame like Ghost will never beat Floyd" I base my predictions off of fight math and off of BOTH fighters last performance.
When Floyd fought Shane he got caught. So when he fought Ortiz, I felt that Ortiz is twice as strong as Shane, bigger, faster, in his PRIME and throws more punches, and if Shane can hurt Floyd, then Ortiz can hurt him and finish him. Floyd gets full props from me and if he wouldnt have fought him he would have been a DUCKER in ALL of our eyes regardless of what your saying now.
People think Ghost is a dumb brawler but he isnt. He is a tall tactical boxer that knows how to use his reach. But when he went to ww he started to swarm guys and walk through their punches. A swarmer is not a brawler like Ortiz is. A swarmer's punches are so close together that you get clipped, and Ghost has some great pop at welter. He makes small adjustments on the fly, and based off of Floyd's fight with Cotto who is old, shot, slow, and short with stubby dino arms, a tall swarmer like Ghost will have more than one way of landing shots.
Everyone on this site, including you, thought Floyd would be shoulder rolling off the ropes, fighting on the inside and countering Ghost. I personally knew that was impossible because of his swarming style combined with his height. If Floyd had tried that, he would have gotten ate up.
Floyd came into the fight conditioned to use his feet and he fought like a lightweight.
His adjustment to take away Ghost's inside fighting was to clinch him 100% of the time he got on the inside. He did NO inside fighting with Ghost.
Wise fighter.
Canelo is a giant, and I always felt he was too big for Floyd. I didnt know Floyd was going to WALK him down. Absorbing his body shots, pretending they didnt hurt, walking through them, fighting like a true warrior.
Floyd fights completely different styles of fighters, and he entirely compromises his OWN fighting style, in order to DOMINATE them without getting grazed. What Floyd does is LEGENDARY. Like it or not, but SRL doesnt have the style to beat Floyd. Pacman has a better chance than SRL does. Or maybe Aaron Pryor!
NOW you know boxing.Last edited by MurkaMan; 11-02-2013, 01:11 PM.
