I think ****m Richardson is a phony

Phony in what area? Richardson does appear to know a lot, he "whines" when he feels his fighter has been wrong and his "long winded" stories and analogies are great to me due to how long he has been in the game and how you can apply those analogies to outside situations.
Even if there was some sort of spite towards Dawson, due to what Richardson felt was disrespect during the Dawson/ Hopkins buildup, the point Richardson was trying to drive home was true: Dawson is a fighter that knows how to win 7 out of 12 rounds. Dawson isn't a fighter that comes out there and completely dominates his opponents...definitely not anymore.
I didn't mind his talk to Fury as soon as his fighter dropped Fury early in the fight and Tyson resorted to whatever it took to win that fight. Steve, his fighter, isn't even a heavyweight, imo, so if his effort was a result of Richardson's training then Naazim knows his stuff.
I can also say that Hopkins knows his stuff, Mosley knows his stuff, Sergio Martinez knows his stuff and these are all people who have sought Richardson out for one reason or another...and Richardson also gets respect from the often disrespectful Mayweather.
As a culture, if blacks (i.e. "african" americans) think that you're phony then you'll be called on it and we haven't seen a single soul call Richardson on anything.
I was following until that last line. Lmfao, Blacks have some natural ability to spot out phonies that others cultures dont? Must be true. They know exactly where to get that swapmeet Louie! LolComment

I've highlighted something you something you said because it's true, you don't know him well enough. I've met ****m many times and he is not only a great guy but he is also very knowleadgable. He has seen it all in this sport and he likes to talk about, yes that may turn some off but he is in noway a phoney. I've been lucky enough to spend many a hour talking and dining with the man, he knows what he is talking about. He knows this sport inside out.The way he talks, the whining, his long winded stories and analogies.
The way he talked about Dawson after Dawson was beat down by Ward - there was some sincere malice there...I think he was still spitefull that Dawson punked Bernard before the fights, during and after.
Then his talk about Fury and trying to lecture him and what not. His talk of never meeting John Scully.
In general he talks a lot like he knows a lot, like he's been through a lot and like he's super wise, tough and God-fearing but something doesn't click. I think at times he's trying too hard and people are getting caught with his one liners like "swim without getting wet". He's a good talker and maybe I don't know much about him, maybe he's a good trainer too, like I said maybe I am missing something on him but my intuition is that he's a poser and his character isn't what he says it is or what he tries to present it as. I think he's slipped a few times.Comment

****m richardson is not only one of the best trainers in the game, he is part of a dying breed of old school trainers who truly know what they are doing.
you have to know boxing though to recognize a good trainer, just like mainstream fans cant recognize the subtle brilliance of a great technician they also cant recognize the men who know how to teach that stuff.
****m learned under bouie fisher, he has been part of the boxing scene both amateur and pro for a looong time and not just in any city. in philly they still teach boxing the old fashioned way, from the ground up. lots of knowledge in those gyms, lots of knowledge in ****m too. anyone who knows jack **** abot boxing sees that instantly.Comment

Man, that's hilarious. The whole thing with Fury absolutely owning ****m and Cunningham's camp through the press conferences, to the fight itself and then the post fight was truly some special kind of ownage. ****m no doubt was puking in his hotel room afterwards. That was a hard pill for ****m to swallow. The funniest thing I seen this clown due is get clown by fury LMFAO.
Then tried to say he's a real gangster and he done this and that, and gave fury and team a warning that they better not raise that finger and point at him again or else, and somebody did it again instantly to see whats up and hes lil wannabe hood friend jumps and say watch that finger man lmfao and naseem says naw its okay he didnt mean nothing by it LMFAO.
And that I sum up all east coast dude, nothing but talk. (funny fact, you notice how east coast rappers always getting punked out here and getting their chains snatched up lol, in fact they like the only ones that get their shit snatched)Comment

He does carry that Philly fighting legacy with him from Bouie Fisher. Good knowledge, as seen by how he got a cruiserweight to be able to knock down heavyweight Tyson Fury.Comment
