Hopkins fought clean by his standards. He had one really bad dirty moment compared to like 5 by Murat.
B.hops fought extermely dirty against Murat. Where the outcry?

As I mentioned earlier, that entire night was set up so that the "house" fighters got the win, this isn't the first time and unless here is an overall boxing governing body, it won't be the last time.
the referee, a normally competent Steve Smoger kept pushing Murat back and was overly friendly (evidenced by the hug in the post fight announcement) with Hopkins. I respect Hopkins for what he has done but in this fight it was obvious that everything was stacked against the game Murat. Smoger even ended the fight by shoving Murat in his face, which is not only highly disrespectful but also unprofessional.
All credit to Murat's camp for not pursuing the case any further and for not hitting back at the referee, something I have actually seen before in similar cases.
It really was a disgraceful show put on by Golden Boy and Showtime.Comment

All the anti Smoger or anti Bhop outcry in the world will not change the fact that Murat was outclassed by a 65 year old alien reptoid from the Alpha Zentradi star systemComment

Both were dirty, one got warned, pushed in the face and yelled at all night.
The other got no warnings and a little bit of "you good Bern? Every ok here? You're doing great Bern!"
I mean, I doesn't take a genius, does it?Comment

Yeah, it's obvious Smoger was scared of being abducted.Comment

Hopkins didn't do anything he hasn't done before
no outcry because nobody was surprised
Hopkins has a reputation for taking it into the trenches
and not like Murat kept it clean himselfComment

it's part of the sport. If the ref doesnt say anything why stop? It's not like doing PED's or loading your gloves like Plasterito. Both guys can do it if they can get away with it.Comment
