I haven't seen anybody hating on GGG as per se. I've seen a lot of people downplaying the hype based on his resume. and that's fair enough. He hasn't beaten the greatest fighters yet. But I think he will.
He looks like he's the beast that'll take over the MW division.

"Please "slick boxing fans". Love GGG. STOP insulting him. He's a really good guy if you get to know him"
****in females.
Nobody hates GGG except Frank Ducketts and Stax on Deck. He's a good fighter and I'll keep watching him.

He claimed I hated Matts because I said he lost to Zab and Devon. I rewatched Devon fight and admitted I was wrong about it. I maintain he lost to Zab. I also picked Danny to beat him because I didn't think he had improved enough to handle Danny's skills. He determined I hated Matts. WHen Matts lost, he wouldn't concede he was wrong.
No one hates GGG. SOme posters, like me, just think its ridiculous for him to discuss a potential floyd fight which is very unlikely to be made rather than fights with guys on HBO that can be made.

The reason why almost no one agrees with everyone all the time here is:
A) they don't like fighters who are over hyped
B) they done like fighters who aren't like them and only support fighters who fit their color and nationality like Frank Duckets/PRBOXINGCOTTO/BUDFR who are self admitted biased and proud of it.
B.2) they don't like fans who are obviously racially biased as the above 3 and especially those who wont admit the very obvious and that is that they are flat out racially biased which is something we already know.
C) they don't like a fighter who gets more praise than their favorite fighter
D) they don't like a fighter's obnoxious fan base
E) they done like either slick fighters or puncher/brawlers
F) they don't like a fighter when his fan base picks another fighter to beat theirs or another fighter who is a threat
G) they don't like a fighter who is obnoxious or overly arrogant or does things to disrespect others or the sport
H) they don't like fighters they think are ducking another fighter
I) they don't like fans who make excuses for a fighter or a fighter who makes excuses
Note: of course much of the above is excusable by certain fans if the fighter has similar features to the person they see when they look in the mirrorLast edited by richardt; 10-28-2013, 12:55 PM.

Is this hating? The reason for this is because, Ward is right there, only 1 division up, yet he's calling out a smaller guy and not Ward. And yeah its mostly to piss off his obnoxious fans. Same as it was with Matthysse, people be disrespecting Champions with guys who havent proven anything besides fighting weak competition. I think Gary Russell Jr will be a terror to those guys around his division, but I dont act like Matthysse/GGG fans. Because I recognize they both are fighting the same level of comp. So most times its not the fighter per se, but just to piss off his fans. I personally think GGG will get handled like Bhop did Pavlik, by Ward (just an opinion based on Wards style, but that gets you hate). I believe alot of the hate stems from those fans that hate BOXERS and those that like BRAWLERS, that and nationality (which is cool, mexicans root for mexicans, brits root for brits, americans root for anyone not black. lol). Just lighten up this is not curing cancer, its just for fun and entertainment.
