I think it's dumb not to take the money when it's presented to you. Everyone wants to fight the best. If you got what it takes, go for it. Obviously, he thinks his son is not ready, that's cool. I believe Danny's not ready for a loss to Floyd either. As good as Danny is, Floyd will just outbox him like he did everyone.

Garcia has the youth, talent, and dedication to continue getting better. He's still working towards his prime. Plus he's undefeated and is marketable. This isn't desperate Guerrero or Ortiz, both having major blemishes in their career and limited marketability, who had to immediately jump at a chance for a Mayweather fight. Guys like that are very likely to screw up and blow it. Garcia isn't overweight Alvarez either, who had to rush to a Mayweather fight before his super weight cutting ass would rightfully move onto the next division. This isn't air head reckless Amir, who rushed himself since he wanted to retire at 30. A dedicated talent such as Garcia is worth bringing up.

Basically, Danny is very gifted mid range hooker. Against Lucas, Danny had a fabulous 7th round , which practically won that fight.
