Its a freak show that neither fighter can win.

If floyd wins, he gets no credit for beating an old drained fighter. If Hopkins wins, he beat a much smaller man.

    Pointless.

What the hell does Hopkins mean by "urban" and cultural"? That the fight is interesting or relevant because they are both black Americans? lol. Race is always on his mind.

Do you think that the Philly boy Danny is after Floyd that soon? He doesn't seem to be...

... I guess he intended to somehow differentiate between "urban" and "sub-urban" behavior. But inserting the word "culture" was superfluous, imo.

B-Hops isn't serious. He is only looking for a pay day. He wants to secure enough money so he can retire from the fight game soon.

What would be funny if Team Mayweather actually calls his bluff and make a deal with him? Stating that they would only agree to a fight, on the condition he campaigns at the 160 lbs division first and then win a fight or two there before fighting him.

This way they can determine if he can still make 160 lbs healthy and his overall commitment to how much he really wants the fight.

Must have been a slow-news day.

Surely this article belongs in the 'fantasy fights section', along with Hopkins' proposed bout with then heavyweight champ David Haye?

BHop, the light you know at the end of the tunnel is a head light blinding you, no way on earth Floyd will fight you and to come down to 152 ain't happening.

So if he don't fight BH, it would mean he is ducking once again. BH beat DLH beat than FLoyd, so Floyd has much to prove. Floyd likes names on his resume even if they are past their best so no reason why he shouldn't want a ATG who is better than himself on his resume. Floyd will want Pac on his resume before he calls it a day as well.
Mayweather not fighting B-Hop is a good thing. How is refusing to fight a near 50 year-old, heavier man ducking? Rather, it sounds like good sense! I agree that Mayweather should fight Pacquiao (if he looks good against Rios), but he doesn't need and shouldn't want Bernard. B-Hop had better concentrate on the man who will be in his face on Saturday, Karo Murat. I have a feeling that it may not be so easy for him. If he survives that fight, he should seriously think about retiring. He should have plenty of money already, and he's connected to GB promotions, so why is he still fighting? Few things are sadder than watching an old, washed-up fighter get beat up. They say it can happen in an instant, when suddenly a fighter gets old in the ring. If B-Hop keeps tempting fate, it will happen to him. At that point, people may remember that he was the oldest to win a title, but what will also stick out in memory is the day he got humiliated.
