No one is saying Floyd HAD to do that but not doing so left him wide open for scathing criticism regarding his hypocrisy. If he had said we do this at 154, all the message boards would not have lit up like a Christmas tree with complaints EVEN from dedicated Floyd fans.

He is now using it going forward which is obviously because of other champs doing testing and he decided to get onboard. And still, there are champs who do not do testing. He is not the last person to get onboard.
Again, this is no knock on you because you're a pretty objective guy, but the bold is simply not the case. You can feel however you want to feel personally but let's be 100% completely honest, the majority of the public, media, casual and core fans blame Mayweather, doesn't mean that they're right, but that is the case. Take this very website for instance, the majority of fans here dislike Floyd and or blame him for not fighting Manny.

WHAT? Lol, come on man. What happened when he fought Guerrero???? There was a time when a lot of people here were saying that Floyd would duck Guerrero and fight a green, untested Canelo. And don't act like that never happened because we were both here when it did. NSB was asking for Floyd to fight Guerrero and when he fought Guerrero they said he should have fought Canelo, and when he fought Canelo they had no other viable opponent to throw in there so they said he should have fought him at the limit, which I agree with lol but be clear, Floyd will never get credit on this particular forum.

#1 I think most educated fans took that statement for what it was, trolling. But, if he was serious about Manny signing to Mayweather Promotions, is that any different than when Manny makes his opponents sign to Top Rank so that they can get a fight, or is this just another double standard like how it's ok for Manny to catch weight guys but not Floyd lol? I'm curious

I'm actually not in agreement with the statement about Mayweather being afraid or Pac being afraid, I just mentioned the reality I saw. I see both guys with big egos and their team with big egos and that's a lot of combustion and so many attempts failed from both sides.

Why weren't you fine with it when it was the only thing holding back the Mayweather fight, Pacquiao?

What happened to all those excuses that you made back then? Are we just supposed to forget about them?

Some of us actually think and use our heads unlike most of your fanbase. You can't pull the wool over our eyes and pretend that this didn't happen.

4 years ago, Pacquiao used to wear rosary when he entered the ring too.

No, I am not saying people don't complain about everything he does but if you take the Catchweight bit that Floyd did, sure there will always be people who hate Floyd, but this really gave them a lot to grab onto, the Catchweight thing, mainly because some of his fans ran with the Catchweight thing for so many years and then it bit them, his own words. But I am not going to degrade Floyd about everything which is what haters do. I said time and again, that was one great performance against Canelo. He has had many of those performances. I was a BIG fan of Floyd's for over 10 years and when he said before the Oscar fight "One of us has to be the bad guy", that's when he changed his personality and became the bad guy in a self-fulfilled prophesy. The Floyd before the Oscar fight was my favorite. His ego, like all of them, got bigger and bigger. But you will never hear me say that he avoids the best because he has fought some great fighters and that makes him great. Yeah he is ATG, just not #1 like he thinks he is but his talent is rare, very rare. But top 30 I think.
