I think it's more the fans than anything. I honestly can't think of any reason, other than someone having some serious personal issues, to really dislike or hate Pacquiao. He is humble, respectful and has done nothing but provide memorable moments for us fans. A Pacquiao highlight reel is something to behold.

I didn't like how he handled the testing situation, I hate his singing. But Manny Pacquiao the person, the fighter, you don't have a real reason to dislike the guy. He's exciting, explosive, very rarely in a boring fight win or lose. Boxing needs him.

It's simply this. Most posters don't start negative threads about Pac, it's more Pac fans starting threads about Mayweather that this gets into debate. The top two of this era are going to have arguments. There are a lot of trolls on this forum on both sides so really the May/Pac dual hate for the most part is just that....trolling.

Both sides take things to the extreme and that's why they get hate. I don't hate Pac, but read a Frank or Jbpanama or whatever thread and you'll see the extreme lows of each side.

Most people don't hate either guy, the threads bait people into an argument that no one needs to have. It's fairly well established based on the evidence that Manny caused the first fight not to come off....and the subsequent attempts were Floyds fault for it not happening. No one ever admits that though as it's like any argument, you point out what suits your agenda and only focus on that while ignoring everything else.

TL;DR - Fans go overboard and it causes a disdain between people. Very few discredit Pac overall, but when talked about like he's god people will point out all the flaws which comes off as hating.

It all started when Fairweather came out of his fake retirement and pretended that he came out to prove he can beat Pacman. Only to dump tons of roadblocks in the fight, accused Pacman of cheating, demanded the strictest testing ever demanded of a fighter, which he didn't demand when he fought JMM. Pacman agreed to unlimited urine, 3 blood tests, the first of which will be taken immediately after signing, which is the same procedure Fairweather has been taking in his known three fights. Fairweather said it's not enough. Pacman agreeed eventually and the chicken moved his goal post. You know the story.

Of course, his tender, loyal loving fanbase defend his obvious ducking. They never blame him for anything. Meanwhile, Pacman adjusted to every roadblock of his through the years. Which is why there's nothing for Pacfans to defend the Pacman for.

it must suck to tune into every single Floyd fight and watch him continuously win, and then scream he's a cherrypicker and no one hears you lol

Exactly. Pac seems like a good guy. Is he the saint the media tries to make him out to be? Probably not. But he's never really displayed anything publicly that makes him unlikable. But SOME of his fans are just idiots. They post on here ALL the time. They pop up in EVERY thread dedicated to Floyd. And Pac can do no wrong in their eyes. And if you happen to like Pac's opponent (Rios, Marquez, etc.) they won't like you very much.

Pac seems like a very nice guy and I don't think anyone dislike him. People can't stand his fanbase though. Pac_tards are some of the most ignorant boxing fans of all time.

.... and he shows great sportsmanship...

Imagine any other boxer in Pac's shoes right after the loss to Bradley was announced. Who would have taken it with such great stride like Pac did?

                    Marquez? hahahaha

It is mostly BS about it all being about his fanbase.

I hate Mayweather and Broner because of their personalities - their fans being idiots is just the icing on the cake.

Flowmos took it personal with Pac. Even though Floyd basically "won", they still won't let it go - the butthurt lives on.

Manny is one of the most likeable boxers ever - but a certain fanbase totally went after him. These same people defend Adrien Broner on the regular.

Just think about that for a moment.
